Lynn Tincher, Author Extraordinaire

Recently I was blessed to meet a new author & friend and she agreed to answer some questions. Her path into the world of EZines intrigued me, as it is yet another opportunity for authors to reach an audience. She is involved in many other areas, including the American Cancer Society and the Kentucky Humane Society. I know many will benefit from her today as well!

Welcome Lynn Tincher!

From where did the inspiration for Afterthoughts come? How did you come up with the storyline?

The idea for Afterthoughts was something that was swirling around in my head for many years. I don't know that I could pinpoint any one thing that I can attribute to the idea other than I've always been fascinated with the idea of mind reading and whether or not it is real or a psychosis. It has been a life long dream of mine to write a book so I decided to wrap a story around this idea and I'm very proud of what was produced. I was very happy to have written it but to see it in print now is more than I hoped for.

As for the storyline, I love a good mystery. I began with my heroine, Paige, and the main idea that she was going to be caught up in an elaborate mind game. I wasn't sure at first how it was going to end but the story took off as I was writing, helping me to create the roller coaster ride and I am thrilled with the outcome.

Is this your favorite genre? What other areas might you branch out to?

This is one of my favorite genres. I love thrillers of all kinds. I also love Science Fiction and that is an area I'm considering with a couple of new ideas for stories that I have. I would also like to write comedy or something fun like that.

It's refreshing to see an author you wants to help others! How long have you been doing the E-Zine?

Thank you. I started the eZine in April of 2008 as a way of updating my eighty wonderful friends with my news. The eZine then was forwarded on to their friends and I made contact with some very helpful people. This continued to snowball. Within two months, the eZine was being read all over the world by hundreds of people. I was so thankful to my friends that helped pass the information along, I thought I should return the favor. I started advertising that I would offer free publicity for artists of all kinds by adding an article to my eZine. This would not only benefit my readers in that they had something other than me to read about, it would help the artist in getting free exposure. Wow, I didn't expect what happened next. The readership exploded. Thousands of people all over the world are reading it now and I have been so blessed by the artists I've featured. I've met some very inspirational and talented people. If I can help each artist in any way that I can, then I consider my job well done. That's a greater reward than I could even ask for.

Part of the proceeds from this book go to the American Cancer Society – what is your connection with this cause?

Unfortunately, I have had a few friends affected by this disease. I've seen its horrible effects and I have seen, thankfully, several of them pull through and lead a normal life again. I am fortunate enough to have a friend, Vickie Grassman, the Income Development – Special Events Coordinator for the American Cancer Society here in Louisville. It seemed natural to team up with her and do what I can to help. I am also working with their corporate office now to be able to add their logo's to my website and eZine and link to their information so that others can find out more information about the ACS or donate.

How did you get started with the list management service and Constant Contact?

I started publishing my eZine through another company. I had issues with this company as being considered spammers so I switched to Constant Contact. This was about the same time that my eZine really started taking off. I loved how easy it is to publish the eZine through them and I've personally seen the results publishing an eZine can have. I decided to partner with Constant Contact so that I can help others have similar results. I've offered to do this for others at a low price to be able to help those with small budgets achieve their goals. I also have a link on my website so that clients can sign up and manage their email marketing by themselves. I do not have to be involved at all or I can do as little or as much as the client needs.

You do work for the Kentucky Humane Society – you must love animals!!

I really do! My dog, Luke, was abandoned in my boss' yard as an eight week old puppy. He was one of six puppies found. My boss brought them in to work and Luke crawled up in my lap and stayed there for three hours as I worked. I had to bring him home. He is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I have in the past rescued a couple of loving cats through the Humane Society. I wish I could adopt them all. Since I obviously can not do that without being considered the crazy cat lady, I thought that working with the Kentucky Humane Society would be the best thing I can do to help. I hope that I can help each of them find a home.

People don't realize how much work is involved for an author – can you describe a typical day?

That's an understatement, but I love being busy. A typical day for me starts out by going to work. I do hold down a full time job as well. I keep a notebook handy to write down ideas that I have as they come so that I can develop them when I get home. When I do get home, I spend some time with my husband, kids when they are home, and the dog. Then I sit down at the computer, answer emails, write articles, eZines, and work on any of my personal writing. This sometimes goes late into the evening. I've been known to get up at two in the morning to write or take care of things that are on my mind. I manage to take vacations that are dedicated to writing and sometimes dedicate the weekends to it. I try to keep up with several networking groups and writers groups. I have one of my own that I started. I absolutely love doing all of this so it's easy for me.

Who is your biggest supporter & cheerleader?

That would have to be my husband. He's a writer too as well as holds down a more than full time job. He completely understands what I'm doing and is behind me 100%. He gives me the advice I need, when I need it, and backs me up on the decisions I make, even if he may not agree with them. He's there for me in everything I do. I can't begin to thank him enough.

What is your next big goal? Where is Lynn going next?

Right now, I am working on the sequel to Afterthoughts. I have the outline complete. This is something I did not do the first time around so it will be interesting to see if I stick to the outline or if I end up and going different directions. We will see where it takes me. I am also working on some ideas for a Science Fiction novel. I also just found out that I was one of the authors selected for the Kentucky Book Fair this fall. The book had to go through a selection committee so it's like winning an award. I am very excited about it. This will be at the Kentucky Book Fair in Frankfort Kentucky on November 15th.

The Dark Knight & Graphic Novels

The Dark Knight has shattered every box office record. It just hit 300 million faster than any other movie - ten days! They claim it will beat Titanic for American grosses, which seems a small feat when you view the world wide box office - it's got to beat Titanic's 1.8+ BILLION dollars!

But graphic novels and comic books as movies have soared so much in popularity. Writers need to take heed! And those who have written in this medium for years should feel vindicated, because it's a real art form. Comic-Con this past weekend was HUGE! Purists might feel it's become diluted, but it's also incredibly popular now.

Congrats to Christopher Nolan - he's an awesome director! When Batman Begins came out, I felt it was the epitome of a perfect graphic novel/superhero story. And now the whole world knows!

As much as I've loved these two movies though, my favorite will always be The Crow. (And another film seeped in real-life tragedy...)

Checklists & llamas

I have checklists for every project, including each book coming out next year. Many of those items cannot be completed for several months, which leaves a lot of things unchecked! I keep looking at the list and wondering if I will be able to complete it all on time. I also wonder if I am being too thorough or not thorough enough. I guess I will have to wait for results to determine that.

Meanwhile, I still have marching llamas and the Empire Strikes Back theme going on in my head from a YouTube video featured last week on G4!!!

Music Site You MUST Visit!

A little deviation from writing/author/publishing topics...

But I have a music website you have to check out!

Pandora is one of the downloadable APPs for the I-Phone/I-Touch - but it's also available on the Internet. Once you've registered and set it up (very quick and easy to do!), type in a band you really like and let it go! It plays a song from that band and then begins suggesting other bands you might like as well, playing songs one at a time. You can say you do or don't like it and Pandora remembers - and will gear its selection more to your liking! It is the wildest thing.

There's also a feature where if you like it, you can connect right to I-Tunes and buy it!

It's a great feature for discovering new bands! Plus you can just let it go and listen to the music. (I don't have an I-Touch like my husband's, but I have two computers, so I just set it up on the second one and let it go.)

Check it out - www.pandora.com

I am really digging this!!!

Author Patricia Hickman

This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is introducing
Painted Dresses (WaterBrook Press - July 15, 2008)
by
Patricia Hickman
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Patricia Hickman is an award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction, whose work has been praised by critics and readers alike.
Patricia Hickman began writing many years ago after an invitation to join a writer's critique group. It was headed up by best-selling author Dr. Gilbert Morris, a pioneer in Christian fiction who has written many best selling titles. The group eventually came to be called the "Nubbing Chits". All four members of the original "Chits" have gone on to become award-winning and best selling novelists (good fruit, Gil!).
Patty signed her first multi-book contract with Bethany House Publishers. After she wrote several novels "for the market", she assessed her writer's life and decided she would follow the leanings of her heart. She says, "It had to be God leading me into the next work which wound up being my first break-out book, Katrina's Wings. I had never read a southern mainstream novel, yet I knew that one lived in my head, begging to be brought out and developed." She wanted to create deeper stories that broke away from convention and formula. From her own journey in life, she created a world based upon her hometown in the 70's, including Earthly Vows and Whisper Town from the Millwood Hollow Series.
Patty and her husband, Randy, have planted two churches in North Carolina. Her husband pastors Family Christian Center, located in Huntersville. The Hickmans have three children, two on earth and one in heaven. Their daughter, Jessi, was involved in a fatal automobile accident in 2001. Through her writing and speaking, Patty seeks to offer help, hope and encouragement to those who walk the daily road of loss and grief.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
In this story of sisterhood and unexpected paths, Gaylen Syler-Boatwright flees her unraveling marriage to take refuge in a mountain cottage owned by her deceased aunt. Burdened with looking after her adult sister, Delia, she is shocked to find a trail of family secrets hidden within her aunt’s odd collection of framed, painted dresses. With Delia, who attracts trouble as a daily occupation, Gaylen embarks on a road trip that throws the unlikely pair together on a journey to painful understanding and delightful revelations.
Steeped in Hickman’s trademark humor, her spare writing voice, and the bittersweet pathos of the South, Painted Dresses powerfully captures a woman’s desperate longing to uncover a hidden, broken life and discover the liberty of living authentically, even when the things exposed are shrouded in shame.

Interview with Author Jill Lublin

I had the opportunity to interview Jill Lubin and here is a little about her latest book:
In an easy-to-read format, GET NOTICED…GET REFERRALS shows consumers how to carefully cultivate and develop relationships by using the same principles publicists and brand managers use to obtain more attention to their products. The book explains how to create an effective sound bite and memorable introductory. It then coaches readers on how to convey a consistent "brag message" that can be used to produce connections when following up or obtaining a new client.

To continuously build a cliental and referral list to even more clients, entrepreneurs need to get noticed. But many business owners have not mastered the art of showing off their expertise in a way that has people knocking down the doors. Some need to learn how to sell their skills and business and GET NOTICED…GET REFERRALS: Build Your Client Base and Your Business by Making a Name for Yourself (McGraw-Hill; June 2008) by bestselling author and self-promotion expert, Jill Lublin, teaches readers how to do just that.

Additionally, the book goes into detail about how to get started, handling myths and misconceptions, finding the appropriate market to get noticed, focusing on a craft, balancing everything out, being flexible and keeping all options open. GET NOTICED…GET REFERRALS demonstrates the talent needed to make an unforgettable first impression, get more referrals and grow a company to new heights.
In a nutshell – what will "GET NOTICED…GET REFERRALS" do for readers?
To continuously build a cliental and referral list, people need to get noticed. But many business owners have not mastered the art of showing off their expertise in a way that has people knocking down the doors. Some need to learn how to sell their skills and business. In an easy-to-read format, Get Noticed…Get Referrals shows consumers how to carefully cultivate and develop relationships by using the same principles publicists and brand managers use to obtain more attention to themselves, their products, and / or services. The book explains how to create an effective sound bite and memorable introduction. It then coaches readers on how to convey a consistent “brag message” that can be used to produce connections when following up or obtaining a new client.

How do these principals apply specifically to authors, speakers, and/or publishers?
For authors, getting noticed will create name recognition and sell more books. For speakers, it leads to many more paid speaking engagements. For publishers, it leads to lots of book sales.

Yes, I want Guerrilla Training to look like the big boys, but don't want to break my budget doing it! (I love that line!) How do you assist people in this manner?
People think it costs a lot of money to get noticed. It really doesn’t. With the techniques I share you can do it with very little money. Combine some of the methods – like networking, referrals, and publicity – networking can be done anywhere; referrals… you can start with people you already know; and publicity …master your pitch and pick up the phone!

When did you get started with Guerrilla Training?
When I worked for an independent music label, we had a very small budget so I had to be creative in a big way to get the word out about the musicians I was promoting.

How did you get started with your consulting firm?
I was developing so many successful guerrilla tactics when I was working in the music industry that it was a natural transition to start sharing that with others to help them to be able to get themselves out in the public eye for little money.

You've been featured on so many shows and stations – which appearance really sticks out in your mind?
Probably when I talked about super bowl advertising on a Christian radio station – I am not a sports fan, but the impact those ads have on all Americans is spectacular.

You have covered nearly aspect of being an author/speaker – what facet do you enjoy the most?
I love them equally. They both feed different aspects of my personality. I love getting out and being one on one with the audiences, but with a book, you can reach a lot more people at one time.

Encouragement

As I work to put together my first non-fiction book, I feel occasional doubt that I can transform from a fiction writer to a convincing non-fiction writer. When I first began writing articles, I found the process challenging. It was a struggle! Which is probably why I have divided up my non-fiction book into small chapters that feel like long articles. (And of course, I am receiving assistance in that several other authors are contributing to this book.)

Yesterday I allowed my husband to read the chapter on understanding basic human behavior. When he incredulously asked if I actually wrote it, I hesitantly replied yes, believing something was wrong.
He was astounded my the quality of the piece and claimed it was as good as the book he is currently reading, (which is Gary Chapman's latest).

Now I always get a 'very good' or 'really enjoyed' it out of my husband. And I know my stories occasionally wrestle an emotional response from him as well. This was different. This was a whole new level.

He'd told me a long time ago that I might just become well known for my non-fiction rather than my fiction. Wouldn't it be wild if he were right?

First Leadership Seminar

Tonight I am teaching my first "Bashful to Bold: Uncovering the Leader in You!" seminar. I went all out and packed this one with lots of info, tips, and exercises. I'm ready!

Also saw in one of my publisher's Yahoo Groups that 260,000+ books were published last year - that is an incredible amount! And I am sure the percentage of self-published is very high, too.

Author Amber Miller

This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is introducing
Promises, Promises Barbour - July, 2008
by
Amber Miller
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Hi, I'm Amber, but my friends call me Tiff, short for Tiffany, my first name. Writing had always been a hobby, a way for me to express my innermost thoughts and feelings in a way I sometimes find difficult with the spoken word -- although my friends will tell you 'shy' is not in my vocabulary. Thanks to the gentle nudging of a fellow author -- Tracie Peterson -- in 2002, I took the next step in my writing career and joined the American Christian Fiction Writers. I owe all so many there a hearty hug of appreciation for their constant encouragement and unselfish assistance. I feel a lot more confident thanks to their support and love. For those of you who are also fiction writers looking for a wonderful support group, check them out!
I got involved with web design in 1997, when I was asked to take over running the official web site for the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. That eventually led to a series of negotiations where I was offered the job of running world-renowned actress Jane Seymour's official fan site. That has branched into doing web sites for a variety of clients, including: authors J.M. Hochstetler, Trish Perry, Kathy Pride, Louise M. Gouge, Susan Page Davis, and Jill Elizabeth Nelson, actor William Shockley (the voice of AT&T and Sony) and many others. With the help of a handful of other web site "technos," Eagle Designs was born! Feel free to visit and see our other clients.
Books are a definite passion. Why else would I be writing and publishing them? I firmly believe that a good book can take you away from all of your problems, into a world you've never seen. My favorite food is Italian; I sing all the time, and I once worked with my church choir to do a professional recording for a music CD of our performances.
I am in my 30's, married the love of my life in July 2007, and live in beautiful Colorado, but I love to travel and visit new places. Ultimately, my dream is to own horses and live in a one-level rancher nestled in the mountains. For now, I will remain where I am and do what I love—design web sites and write.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Raelene Strattford knows God has promised never to leave or forsake her. But after the catastrophic deaths of her parents, she doesn t believe it. What kind of God would take a girl's family and leave her alone in a wild land where women have no voice? Gustaf Hanssen has admired Raelene from afar for a while, but his poor attempt at courting her in the past has made him unwelcome in her life. When Gustaf promises Raelene's dying father that he will take care of her, he finds himself bound to her happiness, her success, and her well-being in ways he never imagined. To keep his word must Gustaf really oversee all of Raelene's affairs, find her a husband, and maintain her farm, while she does nothing but scorn him? Can God reach through Raelene's pain and self-centeredness and give her the love that awaits, if only she will accept His will? If you would like to read the first chapter, go

Review: Love as a Way of Life by Gary Chapman

Love as a Way of Life
by Dr. Gary Chapman

Summary:
For decades Dr. Gary Chapman’s best-selling books have shown readers how to speak the “love language” of those they care about. Now he digs even deeper to uncover the foundations of what it means to cultivate a lifestyle of love and how doing so leads to satisfaction and success in every area of life.
Drawing fresh insights from timeless biblical principles, Chapman presents poignant stories of real people who have discovered the joys of living out the seven characteristics of authentic love: kindness, patience, forgiveness, humility, courtesy, generosity, and honesty. Enhanced with eye-opening self tests, practical ideas for building daily habits of love, and inspiring examples of love’s power to change lives, this book guides readers in putting love to work in all of their interpersonal relationships.
Convinced that in a world of constant conflict people desperately need authentic love, Chapman paints a compelling vision of how life can be richer and relationships more satisfying for anyone who practices Love as a Way of Life.

Love is an attitude that says “I choose to focus my life on helping others.”’ – Gary Chapman

Love as a Way of Life is another incredible book on love and relationships. It focuses on the true joy of loving others and giving without expecting to receive.
Chapman defines the seven characteristics of a loving person, touching on many aspects of each. He outlines how to become less involved with ourselves and shift our focus to reaching out to others in kindness. We learn patience in all areas of our lives. Chapman explains that justice and love must work together in forgiveness. The chapter on courtesy shows what it means to be ‘friendly-minded’ and helps us recognize the struggles of others. He demonstrates true humility and sacrificing for others. Generosity is portrayed as the giving of oneself in all aspects of life. Finally, he discusses honesty and expressing it in a loving manner.
Chapman begins these seven chapters with a checklist and ends with ways to apply it to your own life. The final section of the book shows how to apply these characteristics to specific areas and relationships in our life, including marriage, children and work.

Love as a Way of Life is similar to The Five Love Languages in that it encourages us to seek ways to enrich the lives of others, but it goes much deeper. You cannot know the Love Language of every person you meet, but you can learn to treat them with love. Chapman breaks these principals down to everyday living, from complex family dynamics to situations such as driving or shopping. Love as a Way of Life is relatable to all ages and walks of life, as the principals are universal.

Chapman makes you think about doing the small things that really do matter. The checklists are thought provoking – when you find a characteristic that is one of your weak spots, it really makes you pause. The author offers practical solutions, as he understands that we all possess weaknesses and strengths, which elevates this beyond just another “you can do it” book.

The storytelling aspect keeps readers engaged. It demonstrates that we are not alone in our struggles and gives us a sense of community. Chapman outlines potential problems and people who have encountered these challenges, and his solutions give you actual things to try.

The Apostle Paul comes to mind as someone who truly adopted love as a way of life. While we may not be able to follow his incredible example of loving sacrifice, through Love as a Way of Life, we can all strive to do a little better!

Author Bio:
Gary Chapman is the author of twenty-five books, including the New York Times bestseller The Five Love Languages, with more than 4 million copies in print. His daily radio program, A Love Language Minute, is broadcast on more than 100 stations nationwide. Chapman, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Wheaton College, Wake-Forest University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, serves on the pastoral staff at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Today is a good example of why you need to carefully plan the timing of your press releases and other news announcements.

The new I-Phone and all the Aps in the Apple store dominate today's entertainment news. If your book is targeting geeks, it's an especially bad day - in addition to the big Apple roll out, the new critically acclaimed Hellboy movie comes out and Stargate Atlantis resumes its season tonight as well. (As my husband says, the geek planets have aligned!)

You can't always predict natural disasters or the actions of countries & their leaders. But you can check out upcoming releases in terms of products, movies, music, books and other press releases to be posted that day. (If you are using a PR service.) Don't get lost in the shuffle!

Author Tom Morrisey

This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is introducing
Wind River (Bethany House July 1, 2008)
by
Tom Morrisey
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Tom Morrisey is a mountaineer, aviator, shipwreck diver, and explorer, who holds a Full Cave certification from the National Speleological Society - Cave Diving Section.
He has launched, edited or contributed to numerous national publications and is an award-winning adventure-travel writer. A popular speaker, he is also active in both evangelism and the arts. Morrisey earned an MFA in creative writing from Bowling Green State University, and his fiction has been featured in numerous anthologies and magazines.
His first novel, Yucatan Deep (Zondervan, 2002) was a finalist for the Christy award, and he is the author of four other novels: In High Places (Bethany House Publishers, 2007), Dark Fathom (Zondervan, 2005), Deep Blue, (Zondervan 2004), and Turn Four (Zondervan 2004). In addition Tom has also written two nonfiction books: 20 American Peaks & Crags (Contemporary Books, 1978) and Wild by Nature (Baker Books, 2001). He and his family live in Orlando, Florida.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
You Can't Outrun the Sins of Your Past
Desperate to forget what happened to him in Iraq, Tyler Perkins flees to the emptiness of Wyoming. He's here to escape and also to fulfill a long-ago promise by accompanying his 86-year-old friend Soren Andeman on a fly-fishing trip--once more for old time's sake. But their trek to an idyllic trout lake soon becomes something more deeply harrowing--a journey that uncovers long-held lies, deadly crimes, and the buried secrets of the past. Ty barely has time to contemplate the question of what constitutes justice when nature unleashes her own revenge. Trapped in a race back to safety, he must face his own guilt-ridden past or risk being consumed.
Powerfully imagined by the acclaimed author of In High Places, Wind River is an engaging wilderness adventure that explores the power of confession, the beauty of forgiveness, and the freedom of truth unveiled.

Summer Olympic Dreams

With the swimming trials taking place this past weekend, the Summer Olympics now loom closer than ever. The world will be watching people like Dara Torres, who just qualified for her fifth Olympics - at the age of 41! After researching swimming, both at the college and Olymoic level, for my first book, LORI, I can truly appreciate some of the struggles Dara has faced. My character also swam the 100 meter freestyle, (I pictured her Olympics occuring in 2004, though), and in two relays. Dara has since pulled out of the 100 and will compete in the 50 and 1-2 relays instead.

I will watch with eager anticipation as I remember my Olympic experience through Lori.

And I will cheer on the 41 year-old - she's only one year younger than me. Go Dara!!!

Reviewing Gary Chapman's Latest

I was thrilled to open a package the other day and discover a copy of Gary Chapman's latest book, "Love as a Way of Life"!

My husband and I adore his book, "The Five Love Languages" and refer to it often. We gave that book as a gift to everyone that mattered to us, too.

When "The Five Love Languages of Apology" came out, I immediately purchased a copy and devoured that one as well. I was also quite intrigued by a scenario in the book that mirrored the storyline of my fourth book, "Mike" - so much so that I sent a message to Gary Chapman and actually received a reply!

So I look forward to reading and reviewing this latest book. The blog tour is scheduled for July 14-18, so look for my review at that time, both here and at several other of my sites.

Author Rachel Hauck

This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is introducing
Love Starts With Elle (Thomas Nelson - July 8, 2008)
by
Rachel Hauck
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Rachel Hauck is a forty-something, a child of the '60's, '70's, '80's, '90's and '00's, who roller skated through the '70's into the '80's with Farrah Fawcet hair and a three-speed orange Camero. She graduated from Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) with a degree in Journalism.
After graduation, she hired on at Harris Publishing as a software trainer, destermined to see the world. But, she's traveled to Ireland, Spain, Venezuela, Mexico, Australia, Canada and the U.S. from California to Maine.
Rachel met Tony, her husband, in '87, at church, of all places. They married in '92. They don't have any children of their own, just lots of kids-in-the-Lord and they love them all. However, they do have two very spoiled dogs, and a very demanding cat.
With a little help from my friends, my first book was published in ' 04, Lambert's Pride, a romance novel. My current release is Sweet Caroline from Thomas Nelson. Romantic Times Book Club gave both books their highest rank of 4.5 stars, with Love Starts With Elle being honored as Top Pick!
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Elle's living the dream-but is it her dream or his?
Elle loves life in Beaufort, South Carolina-lazy summer days on the sand bar, coastal bonfires, and dinners with friends sharing a lifetime of memories. And she's found her niche as the owner of a successful art gallery too. Life is good.
Then the dynamic pastor of her small town church sweeps her off her feet. She's never known a man like Jeremiah-one who breathes in confidence and exhales all doubt. When he proposes in the setting sunlight, Elle hands him her heart on a silver platter.
But Jeremiah's just accepted a large pastorate in a different state. If she's serious about their relationship, Elle will take "the call," too, leaving behind the people and place she loves so dearly. Elle's friendship with her new tenant, widower Heath McCord, and his young daughter make things even more complicated.
Is love transferrable across the miles? And can you take it with you when you go?
