The Nook Tablet surpasses the Kindle Fire in web traffic:
According to the Chitika report, which is based on as impressions, Barnes & Noble’s Nook tablet overtook the Kindle Fire for the first time ever the first half of June.
Of course, to put this in perspective, Nook users accounted for 0.85%, Fire’s users 0.71%, and iPad users 91.7%.
It’s all relative!

I believe it. I was flipping through the TV channels yesterday and came across a reporter comparing the Nook with the Fire.
By the end of the review, I could see why the Nook was better.

Wow. Well, whatever the exact numbers are, I'm focusing my efforts on selling e-books over paper copies because I feel that's where the profit and the future buyers will be.
I have a signed copy of Stephen's book already! I think on chapter four. It's pretty cool.
I have a nook, read two books on it and then went back to print books. I didn't like the turning pages button; it was so sensitive. And I'm terrible about keeping eletronic gadgets charged. Maybe I'll try to get back into it someday because many books are published e-book only and the prices for many are five bucks or less.

I'm an Ipad user, but I still want a regular old ereader to read my books. The glare on the Ipad gets annoying after a while.

As a Nook owner, I like this. With all the Amazon-only specials going around, Nook people can sometimes feel like the red-headed cousin at the family reunion.
Hahahaha yes, the "overtaking" doesn't seem so important now. :-P
L. Diane, Nook overtaking? I don't see how it's possible. But there you go. It would be nice to see a real bookstore take away some of the luster from online stores.

The real question is how much of that iPad traffic is for their Kindle app. Other than, you know, most of it.
LD, B&N is really focusing on the Nook, especially as they've had the physical stores up for sale for over a year now.
Andrew I think it was based on ad impressions from surfing the net, so the Kindle app probably had no effect.
Haven't decided Nook or Kindle because even though my books are e, the prices are still much too high for me. However, I'll have to keep all the reviews in mind.
