Today's post is about the fireworks truck tragedy on Ocracoke Island, NC.

Those killed by the explosion were members of our church and it has really rocked our spiritual family. Two individuals were a very active part of our singles ministry and very dear friends.

Terry was the greatest servant! He did anything he could for others, above & beyond...

Lisa had a sweet spirit and a love for children.

They were both very active in the singles ministry and we relied on them for many things. They both loved the Lord and brought so much to the group. I pray for their familes, our singles & church family, and my husband, who is really hurting because he lost one of his best friends...

We will miss them both very, very much. Love ya lots, Terry and Lisa!

And since we are helping the church and our singles group as much as possible, I will probably not be real active online for the remainder of the week. So my apologies if I am not visiting everyone's blog on a daily basis.

Diane, this is just so tragic. Both gone too, too soon.

Wishing you strength and peace in the days ahead.

Thank you everyone. Just such a shocking accident. Still in a bit of a glaze.
But I am a better person for having known Terry & Lisa!

Oh my God, NO! I heard about that in the news and never would have thought anyone I knew would be so close to the victims. Take you time and be with who needs it most, Diane. Prayers to you and all those who have suffered in this tragic event.

Thank you, everyone. Marvin, my husband even made the comment that if we hadn't known them, we would've seen this on the news, commented on the tragedy, and moved on...

I wish I could've painted a better picture of Terry and Lisa, but right words just aren't enough.

It's one thing to hear stories on the news. Another, to see the faces and hear how their loss impacted you and others.

Sorry to hear about it.
My heart goes out to all of you.

Dear Lord, now that the funerals are over and the news is settling down, please continue to hold this church and your people in your arms as they grieve.
In Jesus name,
