Book Tackles Bullying in a Positive Way

Dancing Lemur Press/Freedom Fox Press is proud to announce its latest release!

And since Beverly will be unable to do any physical events to promote the book this month, we are in need of assistance. If you can post on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc., please help her out. This is an incredibly tough time for an author’s book to come out and I know this community will rally and support Beverly.

Gabe’s Guardian Angel

Gabe never asked for an angel…

Gabe Montana’s clumsy. He’s overweight, and he’s dyslexic. Worse yet, the bullies make his fifteen-year-old life even more miserable—so miserable he wants to die.

Charley, his guardian angel, says no to that idea, and comes up with a different plan. He’ll give Gabe self-confidence so he can solve his problems, not run away from them. But Gabe wonders why the angel doesn’t just help with the bullies. What’s with this self-confidence stuff?

Can Charley help Gabe stand on his own two feet? Will Gabe give up hope life can improve for him? Or will he finally listen to the angel’s advice?

“An important read for young adults and their families.” - Donna McDine, multi-award winning author of stories for children

“It takes a tough subject and handles it in a positive, uplifting way. A must read for teens and tweens.” – Sandra Cox, author

“Gabe’s Guardian Angel is a good read for any youngster who has ever felt isolated and bullied.”– L.G. Keltner, author

Most of the time, you’ll find Beverly Stowe McClure at her computer, typing stories young voices whisper in her ears. When she’s not writing, she’s snapping pictures of wildlife, flowers and clouds. She’s sometimes known as the “Bug Lady.” She’s not telling why.

As the release date for Voyagers: The Third Ghost approaches, DLP is seeking tour hosts for the IWSG anthology.

If you are willing to do a shout-out, an interview, or accept a guest post from the authors, please let me know.

What a great topic for a book. Terrible time for it to come out, but then again, this might be the perfect time.

Huge congratulations to Beverly. I think this is an important topic and her book will inspire others. Beverly's has a virtual book tour slated for April 27 through May 1 at MC Book Tours. We'd love to have bloggers sign up to participate.

Diane, I'd be happy to accept guest posts at Thoughts in Progress from the any or all of the authors of VOYAGERS.

I feel Beverly's pain! Currently setting up a super late book launch with a fellow author who has delayed the release of her book until May. Good luck to Beverly and for the anthology launch! I'll see if I can find out how to sign up for Beverly's blog tour.

Bev's book is great. She does a wonderful job of a difficult subject.
Sure, I can feature Voyager.

Congratulations to Beverly! We are so excited for you and wish you all the best!

Stephanie and I are happy to help Beverly by posting any information on our Author Tracker blog (for YA+). We'll of course share on social media too. :) If you have anything specific you want us to share, you can send it to Stephanie's email (she said you have it). Otherwise- we can put together a post from the information that is out there.

Di, How did the shopping go? We were able to get one undersized package at Walmart, but I was thrilled to find that:) At least, they are now putting a 1 customer limit on it. I went back ten minutes later, curious to see if there were any left. They were gone.

It is a tough time to have books coming out! I've invited Beverly to be a guest on my Mama Diaries blog, so after I read her book, I'll send her interview questions.

Difficult to launch. Difficult to sell. All my published author friends say no one's buying either. Uncertain times. I'll find a way to publicise Beverly.

Beverly Stowe McClure said...

Hi Sherry. How did I miss these comments? So much has been happening. Yes, I've missed the library signings and such, but there will be other times. Online has been fun. Who knows what will be next? I thank you for reading my book and the wonderful review. Sorry about being so late in replying. Anything you want me to do, I will. Have a super week.

Beverly Stowe McClure said...

Thank you. I appreciate you comment.

Yes, Denise. Most people have other places where their money must go, life food and clothing and such. Tough times for so many who've lost their jobs. Thanks for your sweet comment. I appreciate it.
