I am posting early for IWSG because Dancing Lemur Press has a new release today. The final book in the series:

Juvenile Fiction - Action Adventure / Fantasy & Magic / Legends, Myths, Fables – Asian
“This story is a great culmination to the adventures the pair has taken to China, South America, France, and Greece. Congratulations to Author Sherry Ellis for her awesome world-building and character development skills”! – June Jacobs, author
“There is heaps of danger and drama crammed into this final installment. If anything the stakes are higher than ever as failure would lead to great calamity. I couldn't stop turning the pages as new dangers emerged.” – Nayu’s Reading Corner
“…plentiful action help the book appeal to confident middle grade readers because the pacing of the novel moves quickly even without the inclusion of illustrations. Fans of series fiction like The Magic Treehouse will appreciate the predictable structure and well-rounded approach to Bubba and Squirt's stories, and their confidence in reading will increase with these novels, as well.” - Mary R. Lanni, author
“…this was a satisfying end to an exciting quest! The Bubba and Squirt series is perfect for young readers looking for a quick read.” - Stephanie Robinson, author

It’s time for another edition of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group, founded by Ninja Captain, Alex J. Cavanaugh.
The question for today: Ghost stories fit right in during this month. What's your favorite classic ghostly tale? Tell us about it and why it sends chills up your spine.
My selection is a movie – The Changeling. Released in 1980 and starring George C. Scott as a man who has lost his family, he restarts his life in an old house that is haunted.
Don’t let the year deter you – this is still an effectively chilling ghost story! The moving wheelchair, the séance, the discovery of the medallion worn by the child…all very spooky moments. It will give you delightful chills. If you can find it, I highly recommend it.
What ghostly story chills you?

Big congratulations to Sherry!
Good ghost choice.
The final book in the series? *sniffle*
Congrats to Sherry on her new release. It looks like you picked a really scary ghost story that's too scary for me.
George C. Scott was an amazing actor!
Haven't watched The Changeling. So that's where the iconic scene Annabele rocks in a chair(Conjuring) at Judy Warren's room came from!?
I remember the name of that movie, but I don't think I ever saw it (my mother was very strict when it came to movie content when we were kids).
Congrats to Sherry on the new release. Best of luck!
One of the other IWSG members posted that their favorite ghost story was the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott. Now I guess I need to have a mini Scott movie marathon in the near future.
Grats to Sherry!
Seeing other people's responses to the question (which I forgot about) shows me that I don't know many ghost stories...
Hooray for Sherry! I had the opportunity to visit Japan in 1994, what an enthralling country. Big differences between East and West for sure. And two shaky thumbs up for The Changeling!
I understand the warning. Readers today need to remember that old books can be as valuable today as they were in their heyday. Happy IWSG, Diane!
Those mechanical frogs on the cover of Sherry Ellis's book make me wonder. They are frogs, right?
Congrats to Sherry.
And awesome choice for a ghost story.
Sounds like my kind of scary movie!
Congratulations on your new book, Sherry! And, Diane, I've never heard of the Changeling, so I'll see if I can find it streaming somewhere. I'll need a chill or two during October.

Wishing Sherry much success. Are these stand alones?
George C. Scott was an amazing actor, wasn't he?
Congrats to Sherry on the new release! I don't know that movie, I'll have to check it out.
I think I watched that movie when I wasn't supposed to. But Ghostbusters is my favorite. :)
Liza, he was great.
Anastasia, possibly.
Jennifer, yes!
Olga, yes, they are statues come to life.
Sandra, they are best read in order.
Congratulations, Sherry!
"The Changeling" is one of my favourites too! It has everything a gothic haunted house story can ask for such as the elements you mention and it also offers a good haunted house setting with its isolated location and occupant. It's a far underrated film.
Dancing Lemur publishes the best of the best. I'm happy for you and Sherry.
It's still one of the best movies I've watched. :-)
Anna from elements of emaginette
Congrats to Sherry! I would like to visit Japan.
Great book cover!
I'll have to check out The Changeling. George C. Scott was a great actor.
Congrats to Sherry! This really is a fun series.
Don't know The Changeling, but sounds like a good rec.
Sherry's books are wonderful. Bravo on your new release, Sherry. I love the cover.
Nope, Diane, The Changeling is too scary for me. Have a great Halloween!
Yay for Sherry! I love seeing all my wonderful friend's continued book releases...even if I'm basically invisible -- haunting them, if you will. ;)
I grew up on horror because my oldest brother was big into it, so I've seen and read a lot. As an adult, some of the scariest stuff I've read came from Dean Koontz. So many good books to pick from...
