The Insecure Writer’s Support Group and Introducing Spunk On A Stick

It’s time for another edition of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group, founded by Ninja Captain, Alex J. Cavanaugh.

The writing has been slow the past few months. However, I did take on a special project that turned out a hundred times better than I thought it would. So much more, I’m in the process of packaging this option and offering it to many others. If this new business direction takes off, it could be a grand new adventure in my career. I’ll still keep writing, but this could be something fun that would benefit others.

The Insecure Writer’s Support Group admins also decided it would be a good day for members to introduce themselves.

I’m known as “Spunk On A Stick” and I’m a member of the National Speakers Association. I conduct seminars on book publishing, promoting & marketing, websites & blogs, leadership, and goal-setting, and I offer book formatting and author consultation. I’m the author of seven books, including the non-fiction How to Publish & Promote Your Book Now and Overcoming Obstacles with SPUNK, plus the YA/NA series, The Circle of Friends.

In addition to my blog, you can find me here:

I'm also a professional photographer by trade and love B&W photography. I have a thing for cats, Despicable Me minions, and Hammy the Squirrel!

I wish you all the best on your project. I love that you're helping others (you do that on here too.) I also love the minions. They're just so cute. But lately, I've been into the Lego movie. I've watched it three times. It's just that adorable!

Minions are cool. I want one! Your new project sounds intriguing.

I totally missed that we were supposed to write about ourselves, so I've remained an enigma :-)

I've known you for while and didn't realize you offered formatting services. My goal is to lean how to format. Any tips would be appreciated. Nice to get to know more about you. Have a great 2015.

Being mostly offline in December, I didn't see the part about introducing yourself, lol! Hey, I feel good about just getting an article up there. :-) Writing has been a bit slow for me as well but I have been involved with several non-fiction endeavors by request that have my mind working again. I'm comfortable with non-fiction and creating content for seminars etc. I just need to find my comfort level again in my creative writing side and getting back on track with my blogging etc.

I love seeing your pictures and always enjoy your tips and suggestions. I learn a lot from your blog.

I like new projects! Writing has been slow for me, too. It's starting to pick up again. Winter is my most productive season, for some reason. Must be the lack of outdoor activities and chores. Wishing you a Happy New Year with much success! :)

Shannon, I started doing stock photography and have had photos in Cat Fancy and Homes Illustrated. Then I moved into portrait and wedding photography. In the past couple years, I've just been doing it for fun.
