Progressive Dinner Party!

One of the great things about the holidays is the way that we take the time out from busy lives and schedules to celebrate and appreciate our family and friends. Dinner parties are a time honored way of sharing good food with friends and this week from December 7 through December 11th we are going to do just that!

I am delighted to take part in today's delectable delight - dessert!!

Now that you've enjoyed Amused by Books's Frozen Cranberry Dessert -

Butterscotch Bon-Bons

Melt together in saucepan over low heat-

6oz butterscotch chips
1/2 cup butter/margarine

Remove from heat and mix in bowl with-

2 cups Rice Krispies
1 & 1/3 cups mini marshmellows

Spoon onto greased cookie sheets, chill, and eat!

Christmas is the only time of year I make these, as it's difficult not to eat a dozen in one setting!

Holy crap, girl, are you trying to give me a heart attack? I'll be fantasizing about those bon-bons all day now and you've no idea how much sugar I've eaten already today - I was at a wedding and you wouldn't believe the selection of sweets they were serving.

Jai, I've some in my fridge right now - I could go take a picture and add that to the post so you'll have a visual!

Actually, think I'll go eat one right now.

Are you kidding me? I can't make those. I would eat them before they cooled. Oh my word. Aak! What have I done? My fingers copied the recipe and printed it out! Oh my gosh! They added the ingredients to my shopping list! Nooooooo.

Helen, I see Bon-Bons in your future!
What's really scary is how easy they are to make. And eat. All of them!

These sound so good. I think I'm going to make a batch and put some in the treat baskets I'm making for Christmas gifts. Yum!
