This was a pretty nifty little program. I often use Print Screen and eliminating the many steps required to save & crop in PhotoShop was nice.
Once the program is installed - a very simple process – all one needs to do is hit the Print Screen button and the curser changes into a crosshair. Just crop where desired and the moment the mouse button is released, it’s done. I set up a specific folder for the images captured by SnapIt, and the program numbers and places them in that file automatically.
I discovered only one issue with the program. On several occasions, when I turned on my computer, a message announced that the program had uninstalled itself and needed to be reinstalled. This was as simple as clicking on the icon, but I am not sure if this bug was only in the trial version or in the actual program.
It’s not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but it’s a handy little program, especially if you are a fast worker or in a hurry. And since I view extra computer steps the same way I do stop & go traffic, it reduced the annoyance factor!

Disclaimer-
I was contacted by the company, who asked that I download the trial version and write a review. Upon completion of said review, I would be able to download the actual program if I so desired. My only compensation is a free program. No money. No candy. No free kittens.

No CANDY? No FREE KITTENS?
Seriously...this sounds like a great idea! And it appears that even those who are slightly tech challenged would be able to figure it out! Thanks for providing the link...
No free kittens! I tell you what...
Actually, Rocko & Spunky are all I can handle, so free kittens would be considered a threat at this point.
Download & installation of SnapIt was easy, as was using it. And I'm not very techie minded either!
This would be really handy with the PDF files I always want to slice and dice.
Thanks, Diane!

Skipping steps is always good - will share this blog with the techie in the family who works with photos a lot.
Sounds like nifty software. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the review & link.
It's a neat little program! And I'm always using 'Print Screen' anyway.
Now THAT's pretty cool! Loved your disclaimer, too - lol

Awww, no free kittens! LOL!
Sounds like a handy program to have...I hate trying to crop and edit photos....
Looks like pretty decent software. I think it might have been featured on Giveaway of the Day, but don't quote me on that. No free kittens though ... that part kinda bugs me. Anyway, another good product for pre-cropped screen caps and other things is the Pixlr add-on for Firefox. They don't give away free kittens either, but it's free and you don't have to write a review.
I don't know - really bummed there's no free kittens involved!
I now use both IE and Firefox on my new computer, so will have to check it out. The SnapIt was really easy & fast to use, though. Used it today as a matter of fact!
