For the A to Z Challenge, my topic is leadership and goal-setting. I am posting short excerpts from my book, Overcoming Obstacles with SPUNK! The Keys to Leadership and Goal-Setting, along with an inspiring photo. Enjoy and dream big!
Keep Moving
Once we have selected a destination, we should never waver in our decision to reach that objective. Problems will arise, and we will make mistakes. The secret is to learn from these experiences. The law of averages says if we keep trying, if we are persistent and consistent, eventually we will succeed. Thomas Edison and his ten thousand attempts to create the light bulb should give us hope. It is doubtful we will encounter that many unsuccessful endeavors as we move toward our goal. However, we must be willing to do whatever it takes to conquer fear and achieve success.

I love that picture! And wow, I did not know that about Edison. Makes me feel better about some of tries and fails along the way.
This post made me feel sooo much better. Thanks for posting this.
Love the picture, and the post. Reminds me of a poster I saw years ago: A frog's head is in a big ol' bird's mouth, with its limp body dangling... but the frog has its "hands" wrapped around the bird's neck. The caption? "Never give up."
I think I am willing to keep moving to reach my goals! I certainly feel more motivated after reading this!
Motivational words. And love that cat pic.
Love this and love that picture!
Melissa, me too.
Susan, I remember that one.
The cat in the picture is Rocko, our never-take-no-for-an-answer kitty.
Whatever it takes!
Excellent post, Diane. That picture is great.
Came over from the challenge.

Great K post and that picture had me in giggles.
Yvonne.
1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, right?
The picture is perfect. Cats don't give up when they really want something, no matter how impossible it looks to us.

Great advice!
I'm trying to keep moving...
Love the kitty cat picture.
Jessica, that particular cat never gives up.
Aww, the poor kitty looks like he's behind bars. Now what was outside tempting him so?
Some days I feel like I getting close to that number of attempts.
Great series. I started at the beginning but came here to comment. You kept posts nice and short and that's good.

Tamara, she always seems to want out, but the couple times we've taken her outside, she just wants back in.
Thank you, Lee. You said keep them short, so I did.
I've been reading your posts, which are great, and I really like this one especially. Very motivating, and I love the picture!
Hi Diane! Great post. That cat stretching reminds me of my cat when he tries to reach up to the counter in the kitchen to see what I am doing.
