"While
this book does contain explicit sexual language and graphic violence, it could
easily be taken from the daily headlines. The content is plausible and
realistic as we look at the world around us. The events in the book are not
overly done but give a pragmatic look at the terrifying actions killers can and
sometimes do take."
It was a matter of beginner’s luck, but rookie detective Steven
Quaid’s career and reputation as an elite investigator skyrocketed when he
captured one of the most sadistic serial killers in Alaskan history: Stowy
Jenkins, AKA the Snowman. But that was ten years ago.
And now…Jenkins is back. Escaped from prison and on the move, his
bloodlust is stronger than ever, and his methods of torture are even more
horrifying than before. As his bloody rampage continues and the number of
mutilated bodies mounts, terrified Alaskans increasingly doubt Quaid’s ability
to catch the killer again. The detective’s reputation is on the line, and he’s
going to need a lot more than luck, because this time, Jenkins is driven by
more than the thrill of a random kill.
This time, it’s more personal. He’s out for revenge…and his
ultimate target is Quaid. In a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, Jenkins starts
picking off the people in Quaid’s life…slowly, gradually tightening his circle
of corpses and drawing ever closer to the most important person in Quaid’s
life...his wife. Can Quaid do the impossible again? Can he outmaneuver the
killer, or has the detective's luck finally run out?

At
one time Alaska called to me, and I answered. I learned to sleep under the
midnight sun, survive in below zero temperatures, and hike the Mountain Ranges.
I’ve traveled from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, and the memories are some of my most
valued. The wonders, mysteries and incredible beauty that is Alaska has never
left me and thus now influences my writing.
Despite
my adventurous spirit, I achieved my educational goals, married, and I have two
handsome sons. Writing is now my focus, my newest adventure!

Please visit Dancing Lemur Press, L.L.C. on Facebook today and over the next few weeks! We are featuring our authors in short video clips as they read from their books - and there is a giveaway with each one. Just comment to enter.
And is anyone else having this issue?
Any Blogger blog I visit that has an embedded (as opposed to pop-up) comment box, I get this:
And that is on my own blog! But I'm still logged into Google and my blog and I can comment on ones with pop-up comment boxes.
I've cleared cache and history - and other ideas?

That's weird about the comment box. I want to say I've seen that in the past before when I was on Blogger, but I can't remember what the solution was. I'm not seeing it on yours, actually, right now.
I've been to Alaska, but part of a land and cruise trip! I admire Yolanda's adventurous spirit!
I'll see that when I'm using Safari on my iPad but never with Firefox.
Congratulations to Yolanda!
Hope the issue with the comment box clears up.
Thanks for being a part of Yolanda's tour and sharing this with your readers.
I had that issue with commenting several months ago. It seemed to be caused by the start up of my 2nd blog on dementia where I'd had a different comment style. It took a lot of signing in and out and trial and error but I haven't seen it in a while. Hope I didn't jinx myself!!!
Congrats to Yolanda - looking forward to her book!!
Hi, Diane! I'm finding out I have to sign into all blog options or something goes wrong. Although now I'm having trouble commenting on Elizabeth's blog. It's a game in frustration some days.
Thanks so much for hosting me today!
Hi, Elizabeth, thanks for stopping by. I've had an interesting time trying to comment on your blog, but as the day goes on. I'm sure I'll figure it out!
Thanks, Alex!
Hi, Mason, it'll be a fun day. Thanks for your expert organizing!
Thanks, Jemi!
It works on my laptop - which I'm using right now - but not on my desktop. It stops working here, I don't know what I'll do.
Jemi, I'll sign in and out a few more times and see what happens. So far, it's still working on my laptop.
You're most welcome.
What weird is it works fine on my laptop but not on my desk top.
Well the comment box always looks like that to me if I am not signed into an account. The place in 3rd position to the right lets me sign into Google, and if not signed in and I type something in I lose it so have to make sure signed in before commenting. When signed in my Gratar pic shows and it tell my name and on Google account. I believe most often I see embedded comment boxes not popups but maybe I don't know the difference either. This one I am typing in looks like most that I see.
Congrats Yolanda on new release.
Thanks, Juneta!
Your comment box looks normal to me. I've had problems with some people having trouble commenting on my own blog. Sometimes using a different browser works but that is a frustrating solution.
Congrats on your book, Yolanda!
That is the only option it gives and yet it won't let me sign into Google.
It's working on my laptop with Firefox but not on my desktop - so frustrating.
I have had that issue before. What did I do to fix it...? I can't remember. I might have restarted the computer. I might have used a different computer. I think it eventually righted itself? Are you on Chrome? Did you try logging in to Chrome?
No, I only use Firefox. (Had the Microsoft one and hated it.) Never tried Chrome. It works just fine on my laptop though, which is what I am using right now.
Congratulations to Yolanda.
Sounds like a horrifying story that's very well written. The description alone frightens me. Smiles.
Sorry about the annoying blog problem. I use Firefox too, but that hasn't happened to me (yet). I hope it works itself out.
Take care and be healthy, Diane.
Congrats, Yolanda. Sure sounds like a winner.
So far that glitch hasn't happened to me. I know different browsers have been being a pain in the rump with certain sites lately though.
I won't enter the giveaway. I've already bought the series! Best of luck to Yolanda!
Wishing much success to Yolanda.
I have noticed, whenever there is murder or mystery, a rose is depicted....... wonder why.....
Thanks, Rawknrobyn!
I hope so Pat, thank you!
If you win, you could give them as gifts!
Thank you, Sandra!
My reason-it's a tribute to the ending of the book. But you'll have to read that to find out exactly why! :)
I love the cover.
You and yours stay safe, Di.
Hi L. Diane, Hi Yolanda,
I agree with you about the specific in Yolanda's books. Having read three of them, I can confirmed that they are sexually explicit and the murders are too, but they are not overkilled or beyond the imagination of what happens in everyday life. I've never had any problems with her the sexual scenes in her books. It is when it comes to the act of committing the murder that I cringe. I'm a scaredy cat. However, I enjoy her writing.
Wishing you all the best, Yolanda.
Shalom aleichem,
Pat Garcia
Congrats to Yolanda! Sounds like a riveting book- one that will have me on the edge of my seat for sure. Curious about the rose on the cover. Wishing her all the best!
As for the Blogger issue. I haven't experienced that. I use Chrome- and have found that some computer problems come about when I use different browsers. Good luck!
~Jess
I'm going to try logging out and then back in again on my desktop a few times this weekend and see what happens. At least the laptop still works.
Hi Diane,
Best wishes to Yolanda on her newest book, it sounds great and best wishes to both of you and your respective families for a happy (as possible!) Easter holiday.
Thanks, Pat. I do appreciate you words. I cringe when I'm writing too!
The rose is a tribute to the end of this particular story. It's one of the best endings, I think I've written. Well, I like it, anyway. LOL
Thanks, Mark. Happy belated Easter to you too!
Thanks, Pat! That's an awesome defense. I'm thrilled it's not too much and that you've enjoyed all the books. It's always been my goal to counter balance the evil with the good. That's why the love story is so important! Appreciate your words!
Thanks, DMS. I know I tried to make it riveting! The rose is homage to the ending, but you'll have to read it to know why. :)
Thanks, Mark. Boy it's been a long time! I hope you are well and your family is too! Take care!
