Getting Silly at Disney - With Hats

I wanted to give you something fun this week.

We recently went to Disney World and I came back with over 700 photos. (That was after deleting the bad ones - no, I won't scare you with all of them.)

Since I am a professional photographer by trade, taking photos inspires me. It's liberating when I can just shoot for fun, too. The trip was refreshing and a lot of fun. Sometimes we need to get away and do something different!

Like riding the roller coaster at Animal Kingdom.

Wandering the streets at Hollywood Studios.

Watching fires and explosions.

Hanging out with the Muppets.

Watching the hot air balloon at Downtown Disney.

The ultimate silly came courtesy of my husband, who insists I look great in hats and made me try on every hat we encountered...

And the hat photos go on and on and on...

Have you done anything silly lately?

Love the balloon picture....and you in hats! Wish I could wear hats as well as you.

Was that the Yeti roller coaster? My son and husband loved that one.

Looks like good times! I have a safari hat I wear when it's really hot. That's the only hat I have.

Great photos. I have to agree with your husband, you do look great in hats. They aren't something everyone can wear. Looks like it was a fun and relaxing time.

What a fun trip! We all need to dial it down and just relax sometimes. Disney is a great place to just be silly and let that inner kid come out and play.

And you DO look great in hats! That first one is sooooo funny. And the cowboy hat.... hahahaha. I never pictured you as a cowgirl! Now the Fantasia hat... oh yeah, I can totally see you wearing that!!! Did you buy one????

Elizabeth, that's funny - I kept calling it the Yeti coaster, too. It's really name is Expedition Everest, but Yeti coaster rolls off the tongue easier. I loved it. Had one of the most unique elements I've ever seen on a coaster.

Stephen, the only hat I have is my Minion hat. I love that one.

Mason, he keeps trying to get me to buy hats. I think I just don't like hat head.

Robin, I didn't buy any of them. Looking back, I do wish I'd purchased the mouse ears though.

I like those pink ears! I think I would have bought it... :)

Hi Diane .. what a great diversion from life .. and fun too. I thought the 'stetson' looked good - i.e. the 2nd one down ... but lovely photos your hubby took!

I love hats. Have a couple of vintage ones. I used to hang around the hat departments with my sister just so I could try on hats.

I think it's because my mother used to let me try on her hats and scarves . . .

L. Diane Wolfe said...

Thank you, Karen. Sorry, long ways from being a teenager.

Bish, I should've.

Holly, sadly I didn't.

Susan, I didn't buy any unfortunately.

Wow! That looks like so much fun. My favorite is the Asian conical hat. But I think I'm biased because of your cool Minion shirt.

You do look great in hats, sexy in that cowgirl one.

It looks like Disney World has even more to see than Disneyland. Thanks for posting a few of your many highlights.

Be well.

Looks like a darn good time!

Me, silly? Let's see I got up this morning in time for an earthquake. Then there was yesterday, and the day before that...where do I begin?
My whole life is silly.

HA! Love the hats!!

Whenever we go on vacation me and the hubby ALWAYS have to take silly photos. The kiddo does not find them as hilarious as we do, but someday... LOL

Aww! I want to go to Disney World! *grins* We live in California, so I guess I'll have to be satisfied with Disneyland. We're going back in a couple of months because my high school kid will be there for a Anaheim Music Festival and they get to spend a day there.
Very cute photos! I only took issue with the Steelers shirt. ;) Sorry, it's the sad Dallas Cowboys fan in me.

You are smashing in hats. Thanks for the quick tour of Disneyland. Did you ride the Pirates of the Caribbean? I always go there first and last.

Love the hat photos! Your smile made me smile. Beautiful.

It's been a few years since we last went to Disney World. Would like to go back. It's a fun, happy place!

Hi human, Diane,

Apawlogies for my delay in getting to one of your pawstings. I have such a hectic life being such a celebrity dawg!

Look at you having such fun. I really liked your Mickey Mouse pawsting.

I did something silly. I let my human of his leash. Took ages to get him back.

Pawsitive wishes,

Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!

What fun! My sis and I are the type to try on endless hats and mug for the camera. It's fun. Watching how the orchestrate fires and explosions would have been exciting.

Glad you let the kid in you out to play, :-)

Robyn, Disney World is five times bigger.

Lee, that's the way to be.

Jo, I think it's now something else. They had Woody and Buzz though.

Christine, that is indeed silly.

Jennifer, keep taking themy anyway!

Karen, we didn't buy any.

James, sad is a good word to use!

Lee, we did ride it. Very dated now.

Mary, it's fun as an adult.

Penny, you'll know to keep that leash on next time.

We did Disney World a couple months ago, so the background in a lot of these shots was familiar. We even did the silly trying-on-hats thing. Such fun.

Hubby's right, Diane. You look fabulous in hats. Did I ever mention our youngest son is a redhead? There's just something very special about redheads.

J.L. Campbell said...

I'm thinking I would have enjoyed the explosions, but I'm also wondering what it says about me.

Yup, you do look cute in the hats.

Wonderful photos. My teen daughter actually owns that panda hat and wears it all winter. Like you, she looks good in hats. I have two teen girls, and we are usually silly :)

Never been, but I hope to someday. We have Disneyland in SoCal -- the happiest place on earth (or the west coast).

L. Diane Wolfe said...

LD, what did you think of all the lights?

Joylene, redheads are fiesty special.

Rhonda, I remembered your daughter's hat when I tried it on.

Milo, I visited Disneyland when I was 11 and have fond memories.
