Why was CassaStar voted the best trailer overall?
Here’s a comment from one of the voters -
“…his publisher put money into this trailer. The rest are just clips and pics put together with music and subtitles.”
In this business, quality and uniqueness stands out!

Yvonne,
Holy crap, my trailer won!!!! Big thanks to everyone who voted for my trailer - and thanks for hosting it, Diane. Emailing you now!
Yay for Alex!!!
ANd congrats to the runners up!!!
Congrats to the winners, especially #1! I thought all the entries were outstanding. I'm a little disappointed that Three Daves by Nicki Elson didn't get a prize. I loved its more minimal approach - it really attracted me to the book.
Congratulations Alex!
I really do think you can tell that this trailer had a professionals hand in it. Even though it's all just CGI, the editing is smooth and the high tech feel of it really fits the story.
Yay, you three! And Alex, I'm so happy for you!

Congratulations, Alex!!!
I'm thrilled that Night Watch came in third.
Thank you so much, Diane, for hosting this contest.

Congratulations to Alex and the other winners!
Congratulations again to the winners.
And please, no negative comments here! I've already deleted one. Every author had the opportunity to promote and present their trailers. One trailer did have a lot of votes from family members, but it was NOT the winning trailer.
Congrats to all the winners!!!
Congratulations to all the winners. I thought the trailers were all well done. Hard to pick.

CONGRATS to the winners! Yeah!
I thought it was a tough choice, too. What a job putting this contest together. Nice job, Diane!
And Mike, I'm really surprised Three Daves didn't place, especially considering how many votes it had the first round.
Congratulations to all the winners. A lot of great book trailers there.
Diane, wonderful contest.

Thoughts in Progress
Congratulations to all the winners. I'm especially impressed by Alex's trailer. Good work, everyone!
Congratulations to the winners! I definitely agree that you could tell there was more money behind Alex's trailer, and it is great (possibly especially important in the sci-fi genre because of the techy nature of so much of it).
I ALSO want to say though, that other than the couple in genres I don't really read, i felt ALL of them were effective in making me want to read. In fact it was pretty cool to see that.
I enjoyed looking and voting Diane. Lot of work for you.
Yay Alex! You were my #1 choice. I loved the whole look of this trailer.
I have to admit, there were some really good ones and few not so. But it sure demonstrates the need for a good quality trailer.
Just got back from being out of town over the weekend. Saw that "A Note from an Old Acquaintance" placed second. I'm very pleased to see that the trailer struck a chord. Thank you to the voters and to you, Diane, for hosting this.
Congratulations, Winners! I'm not surprised Alex won the top prize. He really does have an outstanding trailer.
Congratulations to the winners! And those lucky libraries that will now get a full set of Circle of Friends.
Thanks so much for hosting this contest, Diane. It was a fabulous opportunity for me to get my trailer out there to more readers, and I appreciate that very much. You are an excellent hostess.
Oh duh, forgot to say a big THANKS to Mike Douglass too for his very kind comments about the Three Daves trailer. ;)
Congratulations Alex!
Well deserved!
Looking forward to next book AND next trailer.
congratulations to the winners! But especially to Alex because I know him! I know him!! I'll calm down now.
Woohoo! Congrats to all 3 winners!! :) And way to go Alex :)
Hart, you're right - it fits the genre well.
Bill, congratulations - send me an email when you can!
You are welcome, Nicki!!
Hannah, go ahead and act excited!
Thanks again for all who contributed! Sorry, I've been working on bookkeeping, taxes, and year-end stuff, so I haven't been online much the past few days. But done now!
Wooo! Massive congrats to Alex and the other winners!
Congratulations to all the winners! Knew you'd get the top spot, Alex, extra kudos for you :D
Congratulations to the winners. These are three great trailers and I'm sure a lot of people are taking notes for their own book trailer ideas.
Great contest, Diane!

This was a fun contest. And a process of elimination. That's a first I've seen in Blogdom. Congrats! to Alex. It really is a very good trailer.
Oh I picked a winner! :) Mega congrats Alex, I thought it was so well done. :)
Congrats to Bill & Mary -- great job, too!
Congratulations to all the winners, and for that matter all who submitted. Having the book trailer in the first place is a pretty winning proposition.
Diane, this was a good contest that allowed us to see several good examples of book trailers in one place.
