Images From Book 'Em

Another great weekend! Exhausted from the weekend, but spoke to almost 300 students and met up with several author friends. Thanks to everyone who commented while I was gone...

Next year's Waynesboro event is the third weekend in October! If you are an author, you don't want to miss it. Trish and I were talking and since there's so few venues now for authors, we both feel this is one of the best opportunities for an author to expose their work to readers. And sell books for a great cause, too! Rumour has it someone with the last name of Grisham might attend in 2012, too...

Sorry, I was going to post more, but the photo upload is acting up!

You are a smart cookie to go where the readers are! And it is nice to see your happy face meeting the multitudes. Way to go!

I had a fabulous time at Book 'Em this year, and I feel like I had one of the best places in the event - right next to you, Diane! It is always wonderful to see you and watch you work your magic!

Thanks Lou and Jan!

And it was so good to see you Trish! And you're the one with the magic. Hope you made it home with no more incidents.
And did you know Saturday was Don's birthday? LOL

Looks like you had a great time. Nice posters of your books. Your table looks interesting and inviting. I think this is a good example of drawing eyes to your area.

Glad this all went well. Your display table is top notch-- good job at creating an enticing visual display. I guess that's part of the professional photographer's eye at work.

I always enjoy checking out your photos of these events. Love the tables and displays. Big help for me to imagine what I have to do at an event!

Terry, your display will rock I'm sure!

Glad you have a venue where the readers are. Too often our conferences are writers only, and we can only buy so many of each others book. Many times writers only want to trade books which is nice but not the same thing as a sale!

Thanks for sharing,
Monti

You table is absolutely stunning. The only thing that matches it in visual appeal is the person standing next to it.

Wow, that looks like a ton of fun and a great opportunity to get people excited about reading. Is Book Em in Tennessee? I've never been but I've always wanted to go to a convention!

Monti, you nailed it. That's why I like book festivals instead of writr's conferences.

Rayna, you're so sweet!

Chrystal, there's only a few locations at the moment. Looks like the next one will be in Lumberton, NC!
