Sugar Doll Award!
Missy at Missy’s Book Nook gave me The Sugar Doll Award!!
Thanks a bunch, Missy!
I am supposed to list 10 things about myself, then pass the award on to some other bloggers!
1. I was raised on Dunkin Donuts and don't care for Krispy Kreme.
2. My husband won't let me watch the movie "Born Free" because it only makes me cry. (Yeah, I'm a sap for sad animal movies...)
3. I've never heard the whole song of Madonna's "Like a Virgin." Now, Weird Al's "Like a Surgeon" - that one I know!
4. I still have over a hundred stuffed animals...
5. I'm the most organized person I know... and that's scary!
6. I purchased my first pickup truck at age 21 and have not driven a car since. I may be naturally short, but darn it, on the road, I want to be able to see!
7. I got my first camera at aged twelve - and it was a 110! Anybody remember those?
8. My husband and I own about 1000 CD's.
9. I took a sea plane ride when I was sixteen and loved it!
10. When I got married, my initials went from LDW to... LDW. How weird is that??
Now, passing this along to:

Fun! Thanks for sharing. So nice to learn more about you.
Cheers~
Congrats, dear!
That was fun to read.
Oh, "Born free"...I know what you mean.
Wow! Thanks, Diane, for the award! I really do appreciate it.
You're in the RIGHT place for driving a pick-up. But be REAL careful who you mention a preference for Dunkin' Donuts to! :)

Well deserved, and fun to learn more about you, Sugar Doll! (wink)

Congrats! I remember 110 cameras too - and I can't watch Born Free either. :)
I know Elizabeth - I'd be shot on sight for that comment!
Thanks for thinking of me!
I remember my 110 camera, disc camera, polaroid cameras. It's sad to see those things go away, but I have to say I love my digital camera. Now here's one most people won't remember. My first digital camera was a Sony about 10 years ago and there was no memeory card or usb cables, you used floppy disc with it. I still have about 200 floppies I have to upload photos from.
Thank you for the award! It's the first time I've seen it and it's beautiful.
I know what you mean about Born Free. Haven't seen it in years, but it is a heart-tugger.
Let's try this again! We're having a snow storm and I wasn't done with my comment and although I have battery backup, it took my comment and posted it anyway when the power went out.
Now that you know more than you probably care to, LOL - CONGRATS on the award and to all the recipients!
(Born Free - no way! Shoot, I cry at those commercials about all the homeless animals. Breaks my heart.)
CC, that's too funny!
My husband always wants to know why I cry through Born Free when Elsa is fine in the end - and I tell him it's because I KNOW she dies a few months after the movie ends!
Congrats to you! and thanks for the pass along!!!
Thanks for the award Diane! My first camera was also a 110! How funny.
Thanks for the award! You are the best!;)
Jo-Jo, be even scarier if you still had that camera! No idea what ever happened to mine...
So...what kind of music do the two of you listen to?
Mostly rock - my husband loves progressive rock, metal, and hard rock. Anything from Dream Theater to Shadow's Fall. I like prog rock and bands like Chevelle, Arena, and Def Leppard. We both love TSO. And I like some pop-rock, like Hoobestank or 12 Stones. Also like new age - Enya and Jean Michel-Jarre.
LOL Probably more than you wanted to know!
Wow, a hundred stuffed animals? Sheesh. I don't like sad animal movies either, I cried so hard, upsetting my grandmother when she took me to see The Call Of The Wild. It was so sad to see the boats leaving and the wolf was still up on the bluff calling, sigh...
Congrats on the award. You work hard for them, that's for sure, :-)
Wow! Thanks so much for the award, Diane!
I haven't seen all of Born Free. I cry too much and can never finish it.
I also own masses of CDs but nowhere near 1000.
Jai
Sia and Jai, good to know I'm not the only sap.
Maybe I need to post a photo of our CD bookcase. Took us years to find one big enough...
What a fun award! I see sugar plum fairies and Christmas treats dancing in my head...Thank you!
