Blood, Boobs, and Carnage Blogfest

Hosted by Alex J. Cavanaugh and Heather Gardner.

On May 18, 2015, post about a movie, television show, book, or all three that falls into the category of Blood, Boobs, and Carnage. (Or just Blood and Carnage or other mixture.) It can be any genre that fits the bill – fantasy, science fiction, action, adventure, western, thriller, etc. Post the badge and visit other participants.

I don’t read that type of book and I don’t watch much TV. But I do watch movies and I decided to pick a favorite of mine.

The Terminator

It has every element, including Linda Hamilton’s breasts. There are explosions, gunplay, car chases, and more.

Despite the violence, at its heart, The Terminator is a love story. It will always be one of my most favorite, too.

What would you pick?

And I’m posting this image again as today marks 35 years since the big eruption of Mt. St. Helens. (I took this photo during the July 1980 eruption.)

Terminator was a great movie, though it's been so many years since I've seen it.

That's a great picture of the eruption. I'm surprised you were old enough to hold the camera! Have a great day. :) Eva

Great movie and one that still seems modern to me.

Nice picture of Mt. St. Helens! Glad you didn't get any closer than that...

The Terminator is a good one. Just the other day Steven Hawkings stated that if we weren't careful with robotic and nanotechnology, machines and computers may kill us in the end.

I always view The Terminator as a love story too. Good pick.
Great picture. I remember when it happened so clearly. My sister lives near there now. Now going to read the news links.

I'm thrilled to see that picture again. I can't believe that was 35 years ago!

The Terminator is a good pick for this blog hop. :)

The Terminator is an oldie but a good one. What an incredible picture. I can't believe it was that long ago already!

The Terminator - good choice!
Thanks for participating in our blogfest.

I love the terminator movies (all but the 3rd). It's funny though, I think I love them IN SPITE of the violence. The time bendy feature is definitely my favorite part (which may be why I like the 2nd movie best).

You took that pic?? That is soooo cool. I love photography. Getting that close to something that lethal, my mind is blown:)

Eva, I was 14 years old and had my own crappy little 110 camera.

Elizabeth, I'm glad the wind wasn't blowing in our direction.

Chrys, I can't believe it was 35 years ago either.

Hart I liked the third but despised the fourth one. Which is a shame, as I like Christian Bale.

Terminator was a fun series. Wormholes too! I'm looking forward to T4 this summer.

Is it just me or does the new Terminator trailer look spectacularly baaaad?... I loved the TV show, I think it was underrated.
Visiting through the blogfest :) Cheers!

Oh yeah, I forgot about Linda Hamilton's breasts. Wondering if that was a body double, though.

I was only 8 when Mt. St. Helens erupted, and I remember my teacher talking about it and many adults freaking out. It was terrifying as a kid, and still is when I look at the pictures.

Terminator was great, but I actually liked the sequel better. The visuals and choreography were amazing.

The Terminator is my FAVORITE movie. I wanted to pick it for this blogfest, but I talk about it so often I thought I should choose something else. I'm so gald it got mentioned!

Yup, Terminator is a good one. The second movie in the series is my favorite. What an awesome shot of Mt. St. Helens

Amazing that you were there for the Mt. St. Helens eruption! What a treasure and piece of history.

Great pick! Too long since I saw those movies.

Kindle Unlimited illegal? How outrageous.

I'd go with Terminator, too. It's a great movie that doesn't do anything ridiculous to the timeline.

Definitely a great movie, and one of my first thoughts for this blog fest.

Ashes, ashes, it fell down and rained on everything.

Terminator is a great movie for blood and carnage. And some excellent one liners.

The Terminator is a great choice for the BB&C! Back when Arnold was at his peak. Great photo of the volcano eruption. Wow!

Funny, didn't like the Terminator.

The Kindle is illegal in France. How very odd.

Denise Covey said...

I was interested in your publishing industry news. I've seen complaints about Amazon Kindle Unlimited where you don't actually get what you expect.

Yep. The Terminator is classic!

I'm not in this blog hop BTW.Just paying a visit!

I didn't watch this series until about five years ago. Then I watched all of them. I still think the first two were best.

The Terminator is a great choice and Hamilton wore a tank top in the second one so that works too.

I suppose Minions wouldn't work for this blogfest. :)

Terminator had a good showing today! I'm so glad!

Terminator was a great movie. Great photo of the volcano. They recently put sensors on Mt. Hood. That's rather disturbing...

I've never seen Terminator. My husband's seen it enough times for the both of us though!

The Terminator is bad*ss. Great choice for the BBC blogfest. I did a piece on Terminator Poster for the A to Z Challenge so I had to do something else.

That is a truly amazing image. And Terminator ticks every box. Here from the BBC blogfest and loving all the entries.

I haven't seen any Terminator movies, although I've been meaning to watch them.

That's interesting about what goes on with ebooks in other countries. I'll check out the link.

Some movies stand the test of time and Terminator is one of them. Still one of the best of Arnold's flicks. Good pick!
