Today I am over at the The Insecure Writer’s Support Group - Finding Media Outlets and the Pitch. If you want to know how to find media outlets and how to pitch yourself and your book to the media, head on over.
I’m also posting some more photos from our recent trip to the Cape Fear Serpentarium in Wilmington. These shots show you why I love going there and love taking photos of reptiles - so much texture!

Gorgeous skin on these reptiles! Love these pictures, Diane.
Awesome pictures, Diane.
Wonderful photo's, it seems a great time was had by all.
I love the NC aquariums. I went to the one in Wilmington one time. These pix are great. I have a photo of that little green snake, OK, maybe not the same one. It's because those skin textures are so great that people want bags and boots.
ohhhhhh, coooooooooool. I love critters whether the run, crawl or slither.
uh...or fly, swim...get the picture
Cool photos. That's how I like to view reptiles - from a distance.
Great shots. Hopping over to check out your post!
**Shivers** :)
That one lizard looks like he was enjoying the camera. I think he was smiling at you.
I'm not a big reptile fan but these are great photos!
The images are fantastic. I especially like the last one!
It's so easy to look beyond the beauty of reptiles but your closeups really show nature's artistic talent and yours.
I love the textures of reptiles. When you handle them you can feel the texture too. It's awesome.
Really like your pictures!

Keep taking these pictures, Diane! I keep stealing the ones with alligator scales. They are beautiful.
cool pics! I do love reptiles and such.
Okay, I'm off to IWSG now.
Wow! Those are some great textures! Cool pics!
Oh golly, snakes and big reptiles really creep me out! The other day my husband and I were walking down the main street where all the tourists wander up and down, and there was a guy with a snake wrapped around his neck like a knitted scarf! A big snake, maybe a boa? Not sure, he was gone by the time I got my breath back enough to talk to him.
Not a huge reptile fan, but their textures are definitely gorgeous! :)
I'm definitely not a snake fan! But great photos.
What beautiful and funky photos. Thanks for sharing! :)
Not a fan of reptiles, but these are gorgeous photos.
I love how your pairing of amazing rich textures with pitching made me think (again!) about how important depth and design are to a great pitch. Yay!

I only wish I could write with so much texture! Beautiful photos.
Those are some creepy photos. There are no snakes in New Zealand, even at Zoos.
Reptiles have amazing skin and some paleontologists think dinosaur skin was just as colorful which would change my whole impression of them. Great job!
Amazing, but kind of creepy too. Snakes are not my favorite animal, yet they are so fascinating to watch.

Amazing pics. I'll check out your link.
Your pics are amazing. Funny but snake pics affect me completely differently than actual snakes... :)
Oh wow, those are some high quality pics! I'm heading over to check out your link now.
I love the texture of those photos. Thanks for sharing!!
Wow Diane.
Such quality.
They are gorgeous.
I love your artistic eye, Diane. That first one in particular is truly awesome.
You're awfully brave to take these close-ups. I'm impressed - by the photos and your courage.
Wow! Those are great. I really love the last two!
Those are fabulous photos.
(If you ever decide to do a close up spread on spiders - put a warning in the post title, okay?)
Hi Diane .. love the photos - I'm really not happy with snakes around .. but totally appreciate them and the niche they've carved out ... and the other serpents - extraordinary creatures ...
Cheers Hilary
Such beautiful pictures! I love the colors brought out in the second one.
i think startling is my word of the day, this is the third comment that brings that word to mind - love the lizards! and pretty green snake!

These photos are amazing. You captured their textures very well. Have a lovely Caturday.
They are magnificent creatures and you did an awesome job of capturing them uniqueness.
Those are great photos. You did a nice job capturing the texture of the reptiles.
