Refreshed for 2015

I took most of December off. With so much leading up to Christmas and then time off during the holidays, I felt it was just best to take a break. I popped in here a couple times and was able to post several times on Facebook. (Something I tend to forget.) During that time I worked on several projects and played with some new toys, including a digital turntable that records directly onto the computer. Now I can finally get rid of hundreds of vinyl albums and 45’s.

I also had a very Minion Christmas!

Wednesday is The Insecure Writer’s Support Group post day. We are encouraging all members to post a short (100 words max) personal introduction so we can get to know everyone better. You can post it on your blog or at the Facebook group.

See you Wednesday!

What fun things did you get for Christmas?

Love your Minion Christmas!

I got a good number of clothes...not, maybe, traditionally *fun*, but definitely needed! And it's fun not having to shop for myself, ha!

Happy New Year, Diane!

Love the minions!
Does a crock pot count as a new toy?

Glad you got some new toys and had a good break. I enjoyed mine too. Happy New Year!

Man, I wish we would have kept a lot more of our albums--I'd love to have them all on digital now... Sounds like a good break and welcome back!

That unicorn is so fluffy! Love the digital turntable. I only have an actual turntable in my house, and a singing nun album to play on it.

For Christmas, I received a castle building blocks set, and a book on the history of weapons. My family gets me.

Happy New Year!

Hey, you look great. That break had to be exactly the right thing to do. Great to see you back.

Oooo, what kind of digital turntable did you get? And be aware, depending... some of your albums could be worth a little something.

That Minion is cute! Oh, I'm going to have to create an introduction for my IWSG post. Thanks for letting us know about that!

A Minion Christmas. How cool is that! An introduction is a good idea. Off to write mine now and add it to my post.

Awesome! My son had a very Bat(man) Christmas. My fun part of Christmas was spending my money on prizes for my upcoming tours. I have personalized dice with my name on them to give away. Here's to a wonderful 2015 for all of us. :)

3D puzzles are a lot of fun. The introductions should be fun.

Aw, you look like a little kid opening her presents! My stepdaughter had a very minion Christmas too, while the little one had a Frozen one. Thanks for the heads up on the brief for Wednesday's IWSG, I hadn't realised!

Glad you had a good break and got some great presents! It just wouldn't be Christmas without toys, right?

I'm glad to see everybody is back from their breaks. I'm not sure how often I'll blog this year, if at all. I'm still debating. Love Minions!

I too feel refreshed and ready for 2015. We moved and got a house we love, feeling very grateful and blessed. Now I'm ready to get back into my routine! No new goals just to get back to what I was doing before all the interruptions in my life of the past 3 months.

That digital turntable sounds awesome. I should have one of those to get rid of the LPs I have on a shelf.

What a fun Christmas. A digital turntable...well, I don't know much about records, but I'm sure it's awesome :).

Everyone needs minions...right? Glad you had a Merry Christmas!

The turntable sounds interesting. Wonder if there's something where you can record cassettes to the computer? Sounds like a Merry Christmas and definitely a fun one with the Minions.

Sometimes a break is a wonderful thing. Getting back in the groove can be difficult though.

Glad you enjoyed your "minion Christmas". I had an onion Christmas chopping up onions into various things I cooked for holiday guests. I still have a bunch of onions in the kitchen! The darn things must be multiplying. Tonight I'm going to fix chicken enchiladas--with lots of onions. Which reminds me, I must run downstairs and take a couple of breasts out of the freezer. That's chicken breasts mind you!

Love those minions! So much fun! My holidays were full of friends, which is what I love to do best-socialize!

In hindsight, I should have taken November off because I had no internet anyway. Course, I didn't know I wouldn't have internet. Will I have internet for January? I'm thinking so far so good. Hallelujah! Happy New Year, Diane. Have I mentioned how much I love your hair. My favourite aunt was a redhead, and so is our youngest.
