Tryon Palace and Gardens

Since Wednesday is the Insecure Writer’s Support Group, I decided to post something light and fun today.

Recently, Sherry Ellis of Gone Gardening posted about Tryon Palace and Gardens in New Bern. I’ve been there several times, both with family and our local photo club, and taken A LOT of photos. It’s a beautiful place and I’d like to share some images:

This image is one of the stock images for sale at my Spunk On A Stick site. (And thanks to everyone who checked out my new site last week. Transferring my domain name this week and then everything will be set!)

Inspired by any images lately?

Love the water pictures, especially! Maybe because today is going to be such a hot one? :)

All the photos are beautiful, but I'm like Elizabeth and the water shots capture my attention first. I think it's because capturing the water, you make time stand still for that instant.

Lots of lovely pix as usual Diane. We went to Tryon once. Did you know the governor's wife was related to Matt (she was a Wake) and their family crest is on display on a wall, can't remember exactly where it was. We were with a cousin of Matt's and it caused great excitement to see the crest.

There's something about catching water in motion that is always exciting. That last image was particularly beautiful.

Elizabeth, and it started off so nice and cool, too.

Mason, I have an obsession with water shots. Maybe that's why.

Jo, what a claim to fame!

Lee, it's one of my favorites.

I like seeing what interests your creative spirit when you take pictures Diane. I've been remiss with picture taking and the funny thing is I love it. Just haven't had the oomph to get out there and take them. Used to do lots of walks and find all sorts of interesting things to photo. I've taken more pictures of coffee cups than about anything, lol!

I do love the last picture in your series here. I recently saw a gorgeous picture of sunset across a ripple of sand. The colors were rich and loved the mix of silhouettes and shadow. Made you stop and savor it.

Your photos are lovely. I especially like the tulip closeup. Thank you for commenting on my blog about my website in progress. It made me realize I had forgotten to include photography as one of my tabs!

Images inspire me every day. Often they are even the inspiration for new books and short stories. Have a lovely week.

Such lovely photos. I'm always interested in seeing the flora of other states, since we don't have many of those flowers in Florida.

Hi Diane,

And doth the gentle ambience of your photos flows from the screen and are etched into my mind. Thank you.

I get inspired by the images of nature, sometime in places you don't expect. A flower of hope amongst a rubble of a run down area.
