It’s time for another edition of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group, hosted by Ninja Captain, Alex J. Cavanaugh. Don’t forget to check out the Facebook IWSG, too.
I’ve had some major projects this past month and behind the scenes things I’ve worked on. One thing I’ve been working on is revamping my seminars, especially my publishing and promoting ones. The industry changes so fast! If you saw my post on Monday that compared the three biggest eBook distributors, you know that new opportunities and sites appear every day.
Sometimes it’s more fun to share in the joy of other authors.
This just came out on Tuesday from Dancing Lemur Press, LLC:

Sounds like you've made some great progress revamping your seminars!
Love the covers on these new/upcoming releases.
That post was super helpful. I'm sure what you're updating on your seminars is great too.
Good luck with your seminars, Diane!
I'm happy for any author who wrote words today towards the goal of finishing. :)
Happy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
Congrats to Margo and Tamara!
Everything in publishing and promoting certainly does change in a flash -- we're all so grateful to you for keeping up and sharing your wisdom.
Nicki it does change really fast.
Personally I just wish they'd slow down with the changes. I get used to something and then they change it so I have to get used to something new. If the changes were always improvements that might be good, but a lot of the time I think changes are merely intended to generate more revenue and that's bad for the consumer.
Sometimes technology can be a curse of sorts.

It is hard not to feel "left behind" when following/trying to keep up/understand publishing today.
It's an exciting, (yet often confusing) time to be an author.
That's wonderful to have your seminars up to date and fresh. Love these covers, especially Who RU Really? Haunting.
I'm happy for a crit partner, Joselyn Vaughn, who just signed a contract for her 6th sweet romance. It's so much fun to celebrate success with our author friends.
YAY! Thank you so much for the book cover love!! :)
Wait... Is Tamara in Joplin Missouri? I have a good friend who lives there (a school teacher, so really impacted by all those events)... and I always keep an eye on Tamara because I grew up Tamera Hart... we shared a name until we both hyphenated (I of course drop the first for my fiction)
It does feel like thing are in a constant state of flux as far as the publishing business goes. I wonder if it will ever settle down.

Congrats to both. Margo's book looks gritty from the cover, very attention grabbing.
Good luck with the seminars, Diane! I'm sure you'll do great :)

As I published an ebook called Hurricane Crimes, you could probably guess how exited I was when I saw the title "Tornado Warning". ;)
Good luck with your seminars!
You're so right, Diane. It much more fun to support others than to try and keep up with the changes. I'm really bad at wanting to hide under the covers.
Hi Diane!! What a wonderful topic--focusing on other authors. This week I'm happy for Tyrean Martinson, who has a cover reveal coming up this Friday :D
Way to go on all your work!!!
And Congrats to Tamara Hart Heiner and Margo Kelly!!!
Happy Day!!!
Both books look very interesting. Congratulations to the authors.
I'm excited for Kai Strand and her new YA novella, Worth the Effort, Ella's Story. It's a lovely book.
Best of luck with your projects too.
Always moving ahead....
That's what I admire about you, L. Diane! Glad to her you're all vamped up and ready to go another round!
Congrats to Tamara And Margo....
ALL the best, ladies!
I'm happy for all the authors who go out there and do their thing every day. I admire their tenacity.
Congrats to Tamara and Margo!
There are so many great books coming out this month. I'm thrilled for all the authors. Yay!
The industry is changing on the fly these days... month to month, sometimes week to week. It's crazy!
The market changes quickly, you keep on top. Congrats Margo and Tamara. I already entered the advance copies giveaway and I think this story should be read by everyone.
Books look great!
Sometimes we have to focus on other things.
Goodness, trying to keep up with the changes is a job all its own. Good luck with the seminars revamping! :D
Good luck with the seminars and Happy Writings.

Thanks for the info on the women of Joplin. Best wishes on your writing.
A few of my local writer friends have some recent releases doing really well. The industry is changing about as fast as technology is. It's tough to keep up.
It's funny, we often think the publishing world moves so slowly, but truly the changes in the last few years have been staggering.
Congrats to Tamara and Margo, as well as on the progress you're made.
Things really are moving fast in this industry. It's tough to keep up! I can't imagine being a speaker and having to know all the latest info!
Both books look intriguing.
You are always so productive, Diane!
Always in touch with the industry changes/progression...
Both books look wonderful!

Thanks for the support. You rock!

You've been a busy lady.
I shared in Margo's cover reveal but I hadn't heard about Tamara's book and that really interests me. Thanks for posting about it.
Your activities sound quite impressive! I'm looking forward to investigating your seminars. I have the feeling I'll be spending a lot of time on your site for a while. :)
I'm excited for River's recent releases, happy for everyone else too. It seems like a mixed blessing that there are countless great books to read.

Always good to share the joy. I'm delighted for Melissa Maygrove and River Fairchild.
Thank you, Diane.

This is the second time I've seen this reference and cover art for Margo's book. It sounds like an excellent read. And any story about a group of incredible women goes on my TBR list, too. I need to retire from writing so I finally have time to read again.
Thanks everyone for stopping by this week!
I've seen MArgo's book cover quite a bit lately and I love the mystery in it. Great stuff!
Have a super weekend ladies!

Hi Diane - it sounds as if you're progressing really well. Just the thought of a seminar would have me floored, never mind revamping. I'm pleased you're doing so well.
Authors I'm happy for this week:
Elizabeth Seckman and Stephanie Faris who are both revealing the excellent covers for their new novels.
Progress is always so rewarding!
The cover for Who R U Really? is spooky-scary and sets up for a good read.
i wish the world would just slow down and enjoy what it has and stop rushing me into upgrading!
both those books have serious depth.
and the who are you really - scary implications!
you are my go to girl for promo info!
The only consistent thing in life is change, right? Good lookin' covers.
Tornado Warning is probably a really compelling book!
