Passing Time: Nine Short Tales of the Strange and Macabre By Ellie Garratt
Nine dark fiction stories that may just give you nightmares.
A man lives to regret Passing Time. A father will do anything to save his son in Expiration Date. An author finds out her worst nightmare is back in The Devil’s Song. A woman gets more than the claim fee when she takes out vampire insurance in Luna Black.
In Dining in Hell, the Death Valley Diner becomes the wrong place to stop.
A serial killer wants to add another file to his collection in The Vegas Screamer. In Eating Mr. Bone, an undertaker could meet an unfortunate end. A con man meets his first ghost in Land of the Free. And will truth finally be set free in The Letter?

A life-long addiction to reading science fiction and horror, meant writing was the logical outlet for Ellie Garratt’s passions. She is a reader, writer, blogger, Trekkie, and would happily die to be an extra in The Walking Dead. Her short stories have been published in anthologies and online. Passing Time is her first eBook collection and contains nine previously published stories. Her science fiction collection Taking Time will be published later in the year.

D.L. Hammons came up with a wonderful idea:
"Everyone knows I like to try new and different things, so today I present to you the BLOG BLITZ. Here’s how I see it working. Sign up on the linky list below, making sure to record your email address, and you’ll instantly become a member of the Blog Blitz Team. Then from time to time, I will select a deserving blog (that must be part of the Blitz Team) and a specific date. I will then email the team members that information and on that date we all will go out of our way to visit that blog and leave an encouraging comment on their most recent post. I'm talking about hopefully a 100+ comments appearing out of the blue in one day!
"At first I'll pick who gets blitzed, but then I'll start taking recommendations from other members for deserving targets. My only restriction about who joins the Blog Blitz Team is that your blog cannot be primarily for commercial gain."

"Passing Time" sounds like an interesting read.
And Blog Blitz sounds like a great promo idea. :)
Congratulations, Ellie! The Blog Blitz is very cool. And I saw your tips Wednesday. I need to work on my lists more.
Passing Time sounds deliciously creepy and the Blog Blitz sounds like a fun idea. I can't imagine 100 comments. I'd probably faint!
Why is it we absolutely love stories guaranteed to give us nightmares? I don't even like nightmares. (But I love those stories.)
Go, Ellie! I need to catch up on my reading.
Romance, I've never even had that many.
Yvonne, so would I.
Ooo, these stories sound awesome!
What a fantastic idea for encouraging bloggers. Don is always coming up with something clever to support the blogosphere!!
And the list for the bloghop is getting longer. Great!
Blog Blitz is a great idea and congrats to Ellie :)
Sounds like another book I must add to the ever growing list!!
What a great idea. A blitz of positive energy!
Laura, DL has such a good heart.
Wow, a blitz! It'd be like Alex Cavanaugh's blog!

Yay for Ellie! I signed up and will help DL promote the Blitz next week. It's a great idea.
Will pop by Jessica's.
Congratulations Ellie!
I haven't had a chance to go look at Don info yet but it sounds like a great idea.
Congrats to Ellie. I'm so exited to read your stories.
Big kudos to Ellie and I think it's very kind of you to bring such further awareness of her book. I could use a good nightmare.
All the best to DL with that Blog Blitz. A great way to have some shared fun.
Be well, Diane.
Gary
Hi, Diane. I hope the weekend is treating you well. Thanks for sharing. It's not every day I stumble across a post with so many familiar names on it. *waves to Diane, Ellie & Jessica; salutes D.L.*

I love Ellie's books.
Man, I have enough seriously bad nightmares without more "inspiration"...but the list is eclectic - I bet if that were my genre I'd love the book.
Ellie - I'm a die-hard Trekkie as well, and sorely miss Firefly. I'd also love to be an extra on the Walking Dead, might let me watch more of the show without my fingers over my face...I'm a bit squeamish, but can't help but watch it. True addict. Now off to check out your place. Good luck in all your publishing endeavors.
Best,

Don't need nightmares, get plenty of those thanks. I'm glad Ellie got published though. Always great to hear.
I signed up for the Blog Blitz too. I'm not sure if I could cope wit 100 comments although Alex does all the time.
JO ON FOOD, MY TRAVELS AND A SCENT OF CHOCOLATE
Passing Time! I love a good horror story and this has several! :)
A blog blitz is a cute idea. Any easy to participate in! I like that. I fall behind in Blog Hops, but if someone sends me an email to remind to hit one special blog - hey I can do that!
Blog Blitz is so exciting. A great initiative!
Ellie's book looks intriguing!
I love all the story ideas in the collection, but what struck me the most is the gorgeous author pic. Wow - it's so original!
Yay for DL and his clever ideas! :-)
