Visual Inspiration

Thought we'd go for a little visual inspiration today! I haven't done that in a while and I have some new images to share.

Perhaps you'd like to head out to the fair?

Maybe your story needs a hurricane? (Yes, that was the view out our window for Irene.)

Maybe you need some hungry creepy-crawlies?

Maybe you're feeling a little pyro? (Quick story - I started building a multi-layer castle back in Albuquerque, but never got more than two layers of dungeon and the main floor completed. My husband got tired of it in the garage and offered to tape it and put it on YouTube if I'd let him burn it. Video will be up someday, but at least I took pictures of the event! It was strangely satisfying...)

Perhaps a more eerie setting...?

Or maybe you are just inspired by psychotic cats?

Have a great day!

Great photos! I like the fair the best.

The burning castle was cool, but a bit sad :( That was a lot of effort that went up in smoke. I like the psycho cat too, but I have two of my own at home who are always acting crazy...

Mohamed, thank you. I was surprised how well the photos turned out.

Vanyelmoon, it was sad, but I knew I'd never work on it again, and it was just taking up space. I took over thirty photos of it burning and this was the best one.

I love the eerie looking house. Perfect for this time of year :-)

Whoa - you needed a warning at the top of this one. One of your followers (guess who) is severely arachnophopic. I hit picture three and nearly fell off my chair.

Even the picture of spiders creeps me out. I have a half-finished fantasy book in my desk somewhere with spiders as the lurking menace.

I love the picture of the fair. Brings back memories of my first boyfriend and a giant teddy bear that got it's own seat on the swings.

Matthew, it's a web-weaver. They stay outdoors and are really cool.

Sorry LD.

Off to do a seminar tonight - will catch up with everyone tomorrow!

I'm kinda curious about this dungeon you built and then burned. Were the prisoners still in it when you torched the place...?

;)

I built a cardboard castle for my kids and a friend of the family keeps asking when we'll be done playing with it so he can't mount an attack with flaming arrows. Never!
