For the A to Z Challenge, I’m posting promo and other tips for writers. Today it’s Indie Bound.
Indie Bound is an organization if independent bookstores across America. They have a WEBSITE and a monthly newsletter.
Why do authors and publisher need to know about Indie Bound? Because independent bookstores send in their favorite selections each month and the popular ones are featured in the newsletter. If enough stores recommend your book, a feature in the newsletter will garner even more interest - and orders!
So, don’t forget your local independent bookstore!

Something to remember but as I live in the UK it wouldn't be of use, but a good I word nevertheless.
Yvonne.
I didn't know about Indie Bound!

I wish I had a local indie store! There are some in towns nearby though.
Good tip here. I'll tuck this away for future reference!
Good to know! Thanks!
Laura, we don't have a local indie store either, but some of my favorite stores in NC are independently owned.
I love my indie bookstore, but I didn't know about Indie Bound. Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for sharing the link. I did a quick looksie of the site. Was sad to see my local bookstore was not on the list.
Good idea. I'm going over and looking at their site right now.
