Photo Tuesday - An Award!

Yes, I was honored again with the Honest Scrap Award.

This is the Honest Scrap award. It is for those bloggers who write from the heart. I received it from Karen Walker, one of my favorite bloggers. The rules are to pass it along to seven bloggers and then list 10 honest things about myself. Here are those deserving of this honor, bloggers who write from the heart and touch me because of it:
.
10 honest things about the Spunky...

Probably because I grew up in rainy Oregon, I have a fascination with rain storms, rain drops and water in general.

I am a roller coaster JUNKIE!

.
I used to be incredibly, INCREDIBLY shy...
.

I love all animals, especially cats.

Even the weird ones...

I could not be more content or happy with my marriage right now! Over 18 years and still going strong.

Bugs and snakes are cool, but centipedes wig me out!

Yes, I really and truly did see Mt. St. Helens erupt...
This was taken during the July 1980 eruption.

People who drive slow in the left lane drive me nuts.

Okay, and so do people who tailgate me but don't have the guts to pass!!

I am still really good friends with my best friend from high school! Here's Dale and I at Halloween (a couple years after graduation) when we worked together at a Hallmark store.

.
Which leads to my last honest thing - as you can see from the photo, Spunky used to be a blonde!!!
The horror!!!

You saw Mt. St. Helens erupt? Qadzooks what an experience and memory AND you caught it on film. Wow. Loved the ten things about you - I think I got the scrap award a while ago, but gee - how thoughtful of you to think about The Old Silly - thanks!

ps - the pics are great - as usual. ;)

Do blondes have more fun?

I think it's so cool you saw Mt. St. Helens erupt. That was such a big deal at the time...

I had fun for about 17 years as a blonde. Got tired of bleaching and went back to the red!

Okay, this is just plain fun!

I didn't see the eruption, but I was in high school in Thornton, Colorado when all the ash dumped on us like a snow fall.

I'm definitely honored by your award and blog visits!

Once when I was on a cruise in Mexico, a volcano near a village erupted. We were elated. The villagers said, "Oh, it does that nearly every day." Guess they hadn't heard about Vesuvius.

Best,
Carolyn

Thanks! You're the best!

I've been blonde all my life except for the two years I spent as a redhead. Ironically, when I dyed my hair red people thought it was my natural color, and when I don't dye it people assume I do.

Isn't that funny, Chris?
