Michael Di Gesu invited me to do a guest post today on eating healthy. We writers tend to spend a lot of time with butts in chairs. That’s great for our writing, but not so great for our health. Besides the lack of exercise, we often end up snacking and eating junk, especially when “in the zone.” For a list of healthy alternatives and ways to balance our eating habits, visit Michael’s site.
At least I run. I feel that off sets the snacks, which I'm careful not to over do. :)
ReplyDeleteOff I go...
ReplyDeleteWorking full time means I don't sit with my butt in a chair as much as some other writers may do. But yeah, I could use a bit more exercise. I've fallen off the wagon a bit lately and need to rein myself back in!
ReplyDeleteAlready visited Michael this morning!
ReplyDeleteI visited too.
ReplyDeleteI confess I eat good but sometimes slack in the exercise department. I tend to do more in the fall and winter, so it's prime exercise time now.
ReplyDeleteEven though I do water aerobics, the stationary bike and yoga... I still have that belly....
ReplyDeleteWill hop over. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOff to visit. My struggle is remembering to stay healthy by eating. I often get so immersed that I go straight through until dinner time and then wonder why I'm so shakey.
ReplyDeleteI follow Michael, so will check out that post!
ReplyDeleteBeing healthy now will pay you back later in life.
I'm into healthy eating too. Can't do without it. When I eat badly I feel gross and I don't think I perform as well as a writer.

I love reading health stuff. Going to visit.
ReplyDeleteJai, I feel gross, too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a must site to visit.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
I gradually went mostly vegetarian and organic. I do still enjoy chocolate, though. :)
ReplyDeleteYup. I caught you over on Michael's blog earlier. Good post.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely want to check this out. Heading over there now.
ReplyDeleteHeaded over. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so true writers spend a lot of time with their 'butt's' in chairs. I find I do editing my photos as well! Very interested and heading over!
ReplyDeleteI'm "running" over there now. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hopping over there right now :)

Lynn, as a fellow photographer, I know the feeling.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, L. Diane.
