Dark Matter: Artificial, the IWSG Anthology Contest, and Free Book Publishing Webinars

It’s time for another edition of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group, founded by Ninja Captain, Alex J. Cavanaugh.

Today’s optional question: Has any of your readers ever responded to your writing in a way that you didn't expect? If so, did it surprise you?

I’m trying to think of specifics but it’s been a while. I know there has been some inspired fans of both my fiction and non-fiction. I wasn’t surprised though, as my non-fiction IS inspirational and the slogan for my fictional series is “Get inspired to achieve your dreams.”

NEW RELEASE TODAY

Dark Matter: Artificial
An Insecure Writer’s Support Group Anthology

Discover dark matter’s secrets…

What is an AI’s true role? Will bumbling siblings find their way home from deep space? Dark matter is judging us—are we worthy of existence? Would you step through a portal into another reality? Can the discoverer of dark matter uncover its secrets?
Ten authors explore dark matter, unraveling its secrets and revealing its mysterious nature. Featuring the talents of Stephanie Espinoza Villamor, C.D. Gallant-King, Tara Tyler, Mark Alpert, Olga Godim, Steph Wolmarans, Charles Kowalski, Kim Mannix, Elizabeth Mueller, and Deniz Bevan.
Hand-picked by a panel of agents, authors, and editors, these ten tales will take readers on a journey across time and space. Prepare for ignition!

  9. Hi Diane - I'm so pleased to read about the Anthology - all the best with it ... excellent range of author entries. The new contest sounds a change ... but sad about you not being able to meet up with your participants - but enjoy the seminars you are holding. All the best - Hilary

  20. I love the cover of Dark Matter too. It has this sci-fi cybernetic feel without the standard for this genre images of spaceships and planets.

  28. Not surprised that your books do what they say-- yup, sounds about right.
The classes sound interesting, though I'm not sure if a fiction writer who already published four books would learn much. (I could be wrong. You might have a surprise for me. Never know!)

Many congratulations to the Dark Matter authors!

I had someone critique my first book and I wasn't ready to hear it because the delivery was a bit direct, but what was said was totally accurate.
