Insecure Writer's Support Group and Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime

It’s time for another edition of The Insecure Writer’s Support Group, founded by Ninja Captain, Alex J. Cavanaugh.

I’m a day early because I have big news.

Today’s question - It’s spring! Does this season inspire you to write more than others or not?

Inspired or not, I’m usually too busy with releases and DLP stuff to write much. But summer is more my season since it’s so hot here. It’s a good excuse to stay inside and write.

The big news is the release of the 3rd IWSG anthology!

Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime
An Insecure Writer’s Support Group Anthology

The clock is ticking...

Can a dead child’s cross-stitch pendant find a missing nun? Is revenge possible in just 48 minutes? Can a killer be stopped before the rescuers are engulfed by a city ablaze? Who killed what the tide brought in? Can a soliloquizing gumshoe stay out of jail?

Exploring the facets of time, eleven authors delve into mysteries and crimes that linger in both dark corners and plain sight. Featuring the talents of Gwen Gardner, Rebecca M. Douglass, Tara Tyler, S. R. Betler, C.D. Gallant-King, Jemi Fraser, J. R. Ferguson, Yolanda Renée, C. Lee McKenzie, Christine Clemetson, Mary Aalgaard.

Hand-picked by a panel of agents and authors, these eleven tales will take you on a thrilling ride into jeopardy and secrecy. Trail along, find the clues, and stay out of danger. Time is wasting...

Spring is a harder time for me due to allergies. :(

  13. You did a fantastic job of getting the anthology out! Congratulations, Diane!

This is a great spring because of the release, but I really enjoy writing in the winter more. My summers at work are too busy to get much writing done.

  38. Escaping the heat and writing during summer sounds like an amazing plan. I don't know why my productivity is so low during the summer though. Congratulations on the update release for your book.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congrats to all the authors in Tick Tock. I guess the heat can trap you inside like the cold can.

  47. So stoked for everyone in Tick Tock! And the third anthology already—really awesome exposure for the group and the individual writers. And kudos to you on the update of yours! No wonder you're so full of wisdom, Diane: you're a professional! Seriously, your comment over at Writer-in-Transit made my day... maybe even my month. Thank you so much for that.

  49. Have a wondrous weekend, Di.
    Was your anniversary lovely?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Congratulations on the anthology. I've ordered a copy. Looking forward to reading it.

Spring is a busy season. Lots of yard work. I write, but probably not as much as I do in the winter. It's a little more challenging to find the time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Woo-hoo! Congratulations on the new anthology and to ALL the authors featured :) I don't do well with writing when it's warm out. I'd much rather be outside in the garden or at the beach. BUT if I can find a nice, outside cafe to write in, I can make the compromise :D Especially if there's cookies...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Woot on the release, and may the busyness provide much fruit!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Lee, it's only going to get crazier.

    Carol, that's good to hear.

    Elsie, you can have it.

    Thank you, Olga.

    Sandra, always!

Em-Musing, thank you so very much.

    Guilie, thank you so much!

    Sandra, it was simple.

  54. Hope your day has been productive and your evening pleasant:)

  55. Congrats on the new releases, Diane! You're on fire, and I'm not referring to the heat.

  56. Hi, L. Diane!

CONGRATS on the Anthology! Looks like another winner. Such excellent authors! How exciting!

Yes, it is HOT... lol. I'm staying in to. I'll be leaving in about a month. HOPEFULLY I can get the first draft of my memoir complete....

    ReplyDelete
  57. Congrats to all the writers in the new anthology! I get inspiration to write from a variety of places, but I am inspired most by the real world. Headlines, the human condition, and the way variables of life can line up in the most unexpected ways.

  58. How're those fur babies doing?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sandra, the fur babies are grown. Well, Rocket is almost grown. But they are still just wonderful cats.
