I’m a day early because I have big news.
Today’s question - It’s spring! Does this season inspire you to write more than others or not?
Inspired or not, I’m usually too busy with releases and DLP stuff to write much. But summer is more my season since it’s so hot here. It’s a good excuse to stay inside and write.
The big news is the release of the 3rd IWSG anthology!
Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime
An Insecure Writer’s Support Group Anthology
The clock is ticking...
Can a dead child’s cross-stitch pendant find a missing nun? Is revenge possible in just 48 minutes? Can a killer be stopped before the rescuers are engulfed by a city ablaze? Who killed what the tide brought in? Can a soliloquizing gumshoe stay out of jail?
Exploring the facets of time, eleven authors delve into mysteries and crimes that linger in both dark corners and plain sight. Featuring the talents of Gwen Gardner, Rebecca M. Douglass, Tara Tyler, S. R. Betler, C.D. Gallant-King, Jemi Fraser, J. R. Ferguson, Yolanda Renée, C. Lee McKenzie, Christine Clemetson, Mary Aalgaard.
Hand-picked by a panel of agents and authors, these eleven tales will take you on a thrilling ride into jeopardy and secrecy. Trail along, find the clues, and stay out of danger. Time is wasting...

There IS more to write about during the spring, so I guess yes, I do get inspired more.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Diane, good to read.
Yvonne.
The summer heat sure is a good time indeed, as long as one has AC. A great collection too.
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome anthology! Thanks for putting it together.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane - heat is coming here I believe! But it gives us longer days to write in ... though I must say the great outdoors beckons. Great news about the anthology - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteCongrats, congrats to all the authors. Congrats on the update Diane. I grabbed a copy for myself. Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. Congratulations to all the authors (and editors) it took to create this work of love :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been really inspired to write lately :). Of course, now I'm editing all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe anthology sounds great!
Logic is rare and crime is common but which one will prevail in these epics?
ReplyDeleteThe summer heat is a good reason to stay indoors. Congrats on publishing the update to How to Publish and Promote Your Book Now!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the authors of Tick Tock!
I'm SO excited for the anthology to be out today!! :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about summer. Any excuse to stay in with the a/c is good.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's out! I hope it does well.
ReplyDeleteSpring is a harder time for me due to allergies. :(
You did a fantastic job of getting the anthology out! Congratulations, Diane!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great spring because of the release, but I really enjoy writing in the winter more. My summers at work are too busy to get much writing done.
Many congrats on the release day of the anthology. Woo Hoo.
ReplyDeleteAnd on someone special's anniversary:)
Summer and Winter are good seasons to stay indoors. And I'm always kicking myself to get "inspired" to write, lol. So happy the Anthology is finally available.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! The anthology looks fantastic. Hope it sells phenomenally well.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read it! Thank you for all you do :)
ReplyDeleteSummer is a good season for me to work on projects, provided they're indoor ones and my A/C works :-) Off to check out your book now. Sounds like the perfect topic for me at this point in time. Cheers - Ellen
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so stoked about the anthology. Can't wait to read all the fabulous stories.
ReplyDeleteThis anthology is so cool, and I believe I know everyone who's released a story inside the cover!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read all the IWSG authors that contributed to the anthology! I def need help in the promoting my fist book. Ugh. I'm staying focused on my next two books. But future promotion sounds right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteThe Tick Tock anthology is all over Bloggyville!
ReplyDeleteI already have How to Publish and Promote Your Book Now on my Kindle. Will it update automatically?
I wish the anthology much success!
ReplyDeleteHere's to all the success for Tick Tock!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime may it be a smashing success.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Sorry, I've been so busy the past two days. I can't imagine why. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired and hope to write more consistently this spring. Looking forward to reading the anthology. Congratulations to all the authors.
ReplyDeleteIt has been quite a busy few months for you. I see more of the same in your future based on what I know is in the planning stages. Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the release of the THIRD anthology! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of the awesome authors in the anthology! It's going to rock!

Good luck next month!
Elsie
Great new antho. I wish you the best sales with it, and with the other books your publish.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and the authors. This is an exciting moment. Best of luck to all. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
Thanks for all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the update of Publish and Promote. No matter the book, there's always something that can be redone isn't there? Darn it:)
ReplyDeleteEscaping the heat and writing during summer sounds like an amazing plan. I don't know why my productivity is so low during the summer though. Congratulations on the update release for your book.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the authors in Tick Tock. I guess the heat can trap you inside like the cold can.
ReplyDeleteTick Tock is full of awesome stories. I hope it does well. Kudos to the authors.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see Tick Tock finally released :)
ReplyDeleteI pre-ordered Tick Tock so it is now on my iPad on my kindle app. It is a joy to be a part of the IWSG.
ReplyDeleteShalom aleichem,
Pat G @ EverythingMustChange
Just ordered your book, How To Publish and Promote Your Book was a welcome sight to my eyes. I'm at the precipice of self-publishing and scared to hell!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the release! It's a fantastic collection. :) Summer keeps me inside too.
ReplyDeleteThe anthology sounds great. Got my copy. Your summer is like our winter, except you have the sun shining. But both seasons are great for staying indoors and writing.
ReplyDeletei tend to write a bit more in the summer- even though I love to get outside. So excited for all who are involved with the 3rd anthology. Congrats on the release! :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
So stoked for everyone in Tick Tock! And the third anthology already—really awesome exposure for the group and the individual writers. And kudos to you on the update of yours! No wonder you're so full of wisdom, Diane: you're a professional! Seriously, your comment over at Writer-in-Transit made my day... maybe even my month. Thank you so much for that.
ReplyDeleteGuilie @ Life In Dogs
Thanks for everything with this anthology. What a fun, creative project. All the authors have contributed so much in story and promotion.
ReplyDeleteHave a wondrous weekend, Di.
ReplyDeleteWas your anniversary lovely?
Congratulations on the anthology. I've ordered a copy. Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteSpring is a busy season. Lots of yard work. I write, but probably not as much as I do in the winter. It's a little more challenging to find the time.
Woo-hoo! Congratulations on the new anthology and to ALL the authors featured :) I don't do well with writing when it's warm out. I'd much rather be outside in the garden or at the beach. BUT if I can find a nice, outside cafe to write in, I can make the compromise :D Especially if there's cookies...
ReplyDeleteWoot on the release, and may the busyness provide much fruit!
ReplyDeleteLee, it's only going to get crazier.
ReplyDeleteCarol, that's good to hear.
Elsie, you can have it.
Thank you, Olga.
Sandra, always!
Em-Musing, thank you so very much.
Guilie, thank you so much!
Sandra, it was simple.
Hope your day has been productive and your evening pleasant:)
ReplyDeleteSimple is good:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new releases, Diane! You're on fire, and I'm not referring to the heat.
ReplyDeleteHi, L. Diane!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on the Anthology! Looks like another winner. Such excellent authors! How exciting!
Yes, it is HOT... lol. I'm staying in to. I'll be leaving in about a month. HOPEFULLY I can get the first draft of my memoir complete....
Congrats to all the writers in the new anthology! I get inspiration to write from a variety of places, but I am inspired most by the real world. Headlines, the human condition, and the way variables of life can line up in the most unexpected ways.
ReplyDeleteHow're those fur babies doing?
ReplyDeleteSandra, the fur babies are grown. Well, Rocket is almost grown. But they are still just wonderful cats.
