So who are you?
I'll start:
I'm an author. See the page tab above for a list of my six books.
I'm a professional speaker and NSA member. See also page tab above for a list of my topics.
I'm a professional photographer with over twenty years experience. I've posted pictures here and my fun gallery is on my Deviant Art website.
I'm a roller coaster fanatic.
I'm a wife of almost 20 years.
I'm Spunky - an often naive, overly optimistic, hyperactive person who wants everyone in the world to achieve their full potential.

I'm an author, graphics & web designer, a musician, a movie fanatic, and just Alex!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad when people define themselves based on their occupations, or as a parent. On my writing.com bio, which is restricted by character count, I describe myself with this list:
ReplyDeleteList describing me: writer, mother, wife, misunderstood sister, painter, cook, hiker, cat-lover, aging gracefully, fit, strong-willed, generous, organic farm advocate, bilingual, world citizen, in love.
It's not a complete list! But in a pinch, it gives me a nice overview :D
My profile defines me as "Mother. Blogger. Mentor. Reader. Fundraiser. Runner. Writer. Photographer. Wife. Daughter. Friend. . . .", but all of it either needs elaboration or updating - but that is an entire post.
ReplyDeleteLoved hearing you define yourself, though I still think you are much more than just the sum of all that.
I'm an author, a mother, a student, a friend...
ReplyDeleteI go out of my way for my kids and those I love...
I carry lots of baggage with me,
I am all of the above but sometimes I don't do all that I need to do well. But, I'm trying and I guess that's got to count for something, right?

Nicole, I love kitties, too.
ReplyDeleteThought about adding 'lame blogger' to the list, but I am trying to work it back into my schedule!

ReplyDeleteI am a mother.
I am a grandmother to 4 wonderful children.

Wow! I feel like just Plain Ol' Steve next to you. But here goes.
ReplyDeleteI'm a husband and a father. A hopeless optimist who is naive and sees the best in people and circumstances. I'm an aspiring author with a pretty good blog I think. I love to travel and Maui is one of my favorite destinations.

I'm a mother and grandmother, my favorites roles. I love "being" a writer. I'm definitely not a professional photographer, as you can see from the pics I post!! Yours are excellent. And you have a lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteAnn
I'm a writer, online writing instructor, wife, mom, and grandma of a happy almost three year old. I am an optimist too:) Thanks for asking.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Karen
I like to think of myself as a wife, mom, grandmother, writer, lover of life, and an on-going work in progress!
ReplyDeleteI am a dreamer, a survivor, a wife, a music lover, a cat lover, a voracious reader, a teacher (because I'm always teaching someone something, not just the kids in my class), an aunt, a secret keeper, and I love to laugh!
ReplyDeleteGood question...
ReplyDeleteI'm a mom, wife, teacher, writer, optomist, thinker, wonderer, peace-maker, baker, cleaner-upper, worrier... :)

W.I.P. It: A Writer's Journey
I'm a mom, grandmom, great-grandmom, wife, Christian, Sunday school teacher, author, reader, piano player, former teacher, animal lover, friend
ReplyDeleteMy profile describes me as a recovering sociologist, animal lover, traveler, friend, book junkie, museum whore and writer. It also mentions I have a knack for putting my foot in my mouth. Pretty accurate profile, although it should probably also say wife (almost 27 years - yikes! Yes, I was a baby.)
ReplyDelete"I'm Spunky - an often naive, overly optimistic, hyperactive person who wants everyone in the world to achieve their full potential."
ReplyDeleteI just love this! I view myself as a wanderer. Sometimes I have a purpose, but it's not a requirement.
I am greater than the sum of my parts.
ReplyDelete^-^
I love your list! I'm a bunch of different things, I think, but I usually don't think about them--thanks for having me think! Nice exercise.
ReplyDeleteI am a writer of unpublished fiction, a reader who devours large books in a small number of days, a mother who screams and loves (sometimes in the same breath), a former mathematics professor, a former penguin keeper, a jogger, a lover of terrifying water-slides, spoiler of two cats, and the wife of a silly man. Between us we are vying for most immature person in the house. My kids aren't even contenders.
ReplyDeleteI am bits and pieces of everyone I've ever come in contact with. Just a vauge beginning of what I ultimately will become. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Diane .. I'm an inspirer, a stimulator, an educator, a creative writer with unique thought processes, a carer, a lover of life - who, for now, has compassion for her mother and stands by her.
ReplyDeleteI am a writer of earth and history - looked at differently .. snippets of information woven together to be thought provoking and interesting.
That's me - the passionate positive .. with a few or lots of ideas for the future .. that's Hilary
I am a mother of 3 boys. I craft, sew, and write. In addition to writing books, I also write a child's column for a regional magazine. I love the outdoors and taking pictures of it. I am shy, but try not to let that hold me back in obtaining what I want in life.
