* A REALLY SPECIAL AWARD *

Stephen Tremp at Breakthrough Blogs gave me the Meat and Potatoes Award!

“This prestigious award goes to a particular group of wise and experienced bloggers who have proven themselves over the course of time, trials, and tribulations. If you are looking to follow someone’s guidance for writing, publishing, and promotion, then I suggest you look no further than this esteemed group.”

Thank you, Stephen! I don’t know it all - just enough to be dangerous. And I’m too redheaded stubborn to give up!

* CAPTION WINNER *

Selecting this week’s caption winner was difficult! There were so many good ones and I recommend you go back and read all the entries - The Sunday Sillies

Special mention goes to:
"Live Long and Prosper." Laura at Wavy Lines
(Appeals to my inner Trekker!)

But the big winner, as we love The Princess Bride:
“Hello. My Name Is Inigo Meowa. You Killed My Father. Prepare to Die.” From Tamara at Get Your Giggle On

* PHOTO OF THE DAY *

This is what I'd rather be doing right now!!!

  7. Helen, I did take that photo! It's The Hurricane at Myrtle Beach, SC. Only 100 feet tall, so not scary.

  22. As much as I love your Kool and Kookie Kitties, I still love your Friday carnivals of book news best. I know, I'm a book nerd at heart.

    PS: If those cats were Great Danes, I might go the other way.

  28. Tamara's is SO good! Love The Princess Bride! Thanks for mentioning mine, though. :) Heehee. Star Trek reminds me of when I was little because my Dad liked that show. I used to think that's how life would be when I was in my twenties. Well, I'm in my twenties, and I still have to cook my own food. Now what's up with that??? ;)

    Thanks for mentioning my Tuesday Quote Day, too! And congrats on your well-deserved award, Diane!!!

  29. Congrats on the award, it makes me hungry (I love steak!!).

    And that last pic caught me in the stomach with a "swooosh" and wouldn't let me go. I need to find a roller coaster now, it's been way too long (love 'em!).

    You're the spectacularsauce. (Which is even better than the awesomesauce, I've heard.)
