* A REALLY SPECIAL AWARD *
Stephen Tremp at Breakthrough Blogs gave me the Meat and Potatoes Award!
“This prestigious award goes to a particular group of wise and experienced bloggers who have proven themselves over the course of time, trials, and tribulations. If you are looking to follow someone’s guidance for writing, publishing, and promotion, then I suggest you look no further than this esteemed group.”
Thank you, Stephen! I don’t know it all - just enough to be dangerous. And I’m too redheaded stubborn to give up!
* CAPTION WINNER *
Selecting this week’s caption winner was difficult! There were so many good ones and I recommend you go back and read all the entries - The Sunday Sillies
Special mention goes to:
"Live Long and Prosper." Laura at Wavy Lines
(Appeals to my inner Trekker!)
But the big winner, as we love The Princess Bride:
“Hello. My Name Is Inigo Meowa. You Killed My Father. Prepare to Die.” From Tamara at Get Your Giggle On
* PHOTO OF THE DAY *
This is what I'd rather be doing right now!!!
Oh yeah, Tamara earned that win, that was LOL awsome!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! Thanks for all the links.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award and congrats to the caption winner and special mention. Oh, now my stomach is doing flips from the last photo. Time to .....

ReplyDeleteHave a nice day,
Yvonne,
Love the winning caption. Tres funny.
ReplyDeleteDid you take the roller coaster picture? Wow. (Put down the camera and hang on!)
Congrats on the award. Your blog may be "ancient" but it is also great.

Thanks! The moment I saw Tamara's quote, I knew it was the winner.
ReplyDeleteHelen, I did take that photo! It's The Hurricane at Myrtle Beach, SC. Only 100 feet tall, so not scary.
ReplyDeleteUgh, the last photo had my stomach in my throat. But, love the quotes and the links.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
CD
Nice roller coaster pic-- just the right moment to capture.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting further behind-- need to check out some of those links-- they sound interesting.

Yay! My first win at something to do with creative writing, er captioning. I'm very honored. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteEmailing this to myself so I can remember to read all these links. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTamara, it was PERFECT!!! I laughed so hard...
ReplyDeleteWow - cool photo - and kudos on the award?
ReplyDeleteCan’t hang around too long, because looks like a lot of good links here and I’m running out of time, but did want to congratulate you on your award. Also enjoyed the winning caption. However, I do think I'll skip that rollercoaster ride!)
ReplyDeleteNo roller coaster rides for me. I like to keep my feet on the ground!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say CONGRATS on your Meat and Potatoes Award!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Thanks for the links. Congrats on the awards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great links.

ReplyDeleteJai
WOW! I made the news. That is SOOOOO cool, because I really enjoy your roundup. Thanks for the mention! :)
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love your Kool and Kookie Kitties, I still love your Friday carnivals of book news best. I know, I'm a book nerd at heart.
ReplyDeletePS: If those cats were Great Danes, I might go the other way.
Best,

Good linkage to great bloggers! Tamara! LOL I love the princess bride!
ReplyDeleteTamara's Caption was hilarious. I am glad she won. I would love to be on that ride too.
ReplyDeleteToodles!
I believe that was the caption I voted for - so funny!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to see that Crystal's back also, she's been missed.
Thanks for the awesome linkage! And congrats on the meat and potatoes award -- well deserved with regard to its explanation!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :D
But Jane, your book has a roller coaster on the cover!!!
ReplyDeleteJai, you've been missed!
You are welcome DL!
Thanks for all the comments, everyone! I spend two hours composing this post every week and was contemplating cutting or shortening it. But with such a great response, I will continue!
Tamara's is SO good! Love The Princess Bride! Thanks for mentioning mine, though. :) Heehee. Star Trek reminds me of when I was little because my Dad liked that show. I used to think that's how life would be when I was in my twenties. Well, I'm in my twenties, and I still have to cook my own food. Now what's up with that??? ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning my Tuesday Quote Day, too! And congrats on your well-deserved award, Diane!!!
Congrats on the award, it makes me hungry (I love steak!!).
ReplyDeleteAnd that last pic caught me in the stomach with a "swooosh" and wouldn't let me go. I need to find a roller coaster now, it's been way too long (love 'em!).
Hey, ANY post with both Monty Python and a reference to Princess Bride is a winner in my book. That Inigo Meowa is classic! *eyes hole in thumb from recent cat wrestling*
ReplyDeleteHee! Thanks for linking my blog, good lady! And on a day when you led with one of my favorite Monty Python lines ever!
ReplyDeleteYou're the spectacularsauce. (Which is even better than the awesomesauce, I've heard.)
